摘要: Lithium metal powder based inks are provided. The inks are provided in formulations suitable for printing using a variety of printing techniques, including screen printing, offset litho printing, gravure printing, flexographic printing, pad printing and inkjet printing. The inks include lithium metal powder, a polymer binder and optionally electrically conductive materials and/or lithium salts in a solvent. The inks are well suited for use in printing electrodes for use in lithium metal batteries. Batteries made from lithium powder based anodes and electronic applications such as RFID labels, Smart Cards and wearable medical devices are also provided.

摘要: Improved battery packaging and constructions for batteries, particularly thin, flat-profile packaged batteries are provided. The battery packaging constructions may eliminate the need for soldering by providing current collector tabs coated by electrically conductive adhesive tape such as z-axis conductive tape and may provide support for current collector tabs and a regular battery perimeter by providing supportive battery packaging and/or frame materials. Better fabrication results, particularly when the batteries are used in smart cards, RFID tags, and medical devices.

The present invention concerns a new concept of polyimide-based electrolytic component having an electrolyte comprising of at least one solvent and at least one alkali metal salt, with specific amounts of solvents, to optimize the properties of conductivity of the polyimide-based electrolyte and the mechanical properties of the polyimide-based electrolyte separator towards metallic lithium anode to prevent dendrites growths.

摘要: A method of fabricating electrochemical cells wherein precursors thereof can be stored for extended periods of time following extraction of plasticizer therefrom to form porous structures in the polymeric layer and the polymer binder materials of the anode and cathode is provided. Electrochemical cells are produced when the precursors are activated by the addition of an electrolyte solvent and salt.

摘要: In one implementation, a bicell battery apparatus includes first and second counter electrodes and an intermediate electrode positioned therebetween. Respective end edges of the first and second counter electrodes are received outwardly beyond a respective end edge of the intermediate electrode at a region. A current collector extension extends from one of the end edges of the intermediate electrode within the region and extends outwardly beyond the respective end edges of the first and second counter electrodes within the region. A first substantially electrolyte impermeable insulative layer is received between the current collector extension and the first counter electrode. A second substantially electrolyte impermeable insulative layer is received between the current collector extension and the second counter electrode.
