Abstract:
A map data output device includes: a map storage that stores map data that represents lane network information; a position determination portion that determines a current position of a vehicle; a read processing portion that reads the map data of an area established based on the current position; a control map generation portion that generates control map data obtained by adding information to the map; and an output portion that outputs the control map data to a vehicle control device.
Abstract:
A vehicle controller includes a memory configured to store map information including information on a predetermined area used in autonomous driving control of a vehicle; and a processor configured to: refer to the map information to identify an autonomous-driving practicable point at which a planned travel route from the current position of the vehicle outside the predetermined area to a destination of the vehicle enters the predetermined area, calculate a manual-driving section length from the current position of the vehicle to the autonomous-driving practicable point along the planned travel route, and notify the calculated manual-driving section length to a driver of the vehicle via a notification device provided in the interior of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A map information assessment device has a processor configured to detect the end road zone located furthest on the destination location side, among the multiple road zones on the navigation route, to determine whether or not the end road zone is connected to another road zone on the destination location side, to detect the end road link on the navigation route which is associated with the end road zone when the end road zone is connected with another road zone on the destination location side, and to determine whether or not the end road link is connected with another road link representing the navigation route, which is not associated with the road zone on the destination location side, and to attach a predetermined attribute to the end road zone when the end road link is connected with another road link representing the navigation route.
Abstract:
A rotational position sensing apparatus includes a rotational position sensing magnet and a fixing member. The fixing member is made of a non-magnetic material and is fixed to a rotatable shaft of a rotor. The fixing member includes a plurality of projections, which radially inwardly project and are arranged one after another in a circumferential direction at an inner peripheral surface of a first peripheral wall portion within a space, which is defined by the first peripheral wall portion and a bottom wall portion and holds the rotational position sensing magnet.
Abstract:
A map information assessment device has a processor configured to match a plurality of first zones representing a first road in a first map, with second zones representing a second road in a second map, the matching being made by using locations on the second road that are closest to the starting points of the first zones as the starting points, and using zones having the same lengths as the first zones, as the second zones corresponding to the first zones, to calculate zone adjacent distances between the end points of the second zones and the starting points of other second zones adjacent to those second zones, and to determine that positional information for the first road in a first zone is different from positional information for the second road in a second zone corresponding to that first zone, when the zone adjacent distance is greater than a threshold.
Abstract:
A cover is configured into a tubular form and is fitted to a radially outer surface of each of projections of a rotor core and a radially outer surface of each of permanent magnets. A circumferential center portion of the radially outer surface of each projection contacts a radially inner surface of the cover. Circumferential end portions of the radially outer surface of each projection are radially inwardly spaced from the radially inner surface of the cover.
Abstract:
A drive device includes a shaft rotatably supported by a first bearing and a second bearing. The first bearing is disposed in a shaft hole of an output frame end. The second bearing is disposed in a bearing box of an opposite-to-output frame end. An oil seal is fixed in the shaft hole and is closer to an output end than the first bearing is, and is in sliding contact with an outer circumference of the shaft. A biasing member is housed in the bearing box and biases an outer race of the second bearing toward the output end. Accordingly, a deflection amount and a bend amount of the shaft at the location where the oil seal is disposed may be reduced.
Abstract:
A road zone assessment device has a processor configured to select a first road zone from among multiple first road zones representing a first road associated with a vehicle navigation route, and connected with a second road zone representing a second road different from the first road, on a location-estimating map used for a vehicle, to determine whether or not the navigation route extends from the selected first road zone to the second road zone, to identify other first road zone associated with the navigation route from the selected first road zone forward on the destination location side of the navigation route, and to release association between the other first road zone and the navigation route when the selected first road zone is connected with the second road zone and the navigation route extends from the selected first road zone to the second road zone.
Abstract:
A motor is provided having a consequent-pole type rotor that has soft magnetic material poles and magnetic poles positioned around the rotor in an alternating manner. A convex surface on each of the poles is formed as a surface in which a midpoint of the convex surface has a radial distance from the rotation axis that is greater than a radial distance of the circumferential edges of the convex surface from the rotation axis. A radial width of a first magnetism transfer part of a cylindrical yoke and a radial width of a second magnetism transfer part of the magnetic pole fulfill a relationship such that an appropriate balance of the magnetic resistance between the first magnetism transfer part and the second magnetism transfer part is achieved. As a result, cogging torque is reduced without reducing output torque.
