Abstract: An estimation includes a dead reckoning unit, a map matching unit, and a parameter correction unit. The dead reckoning unit is configured to estimate a state quantity by dead reckoning based on (i) a dynamics model including a parameter that changes a behavior of the vehicle and (ii) internal information acquired from an inside of the vehicle. The map matching unit is configured to observe the state quantity by map matching based on (i) map information indicative of a traveling environment of the vehicle and (ii) external information acquired from an outside of the vehicle. The parameter correction unit is configured to correct the parameter, which is to be fed back for the dead reckoning, based on an offset amount that is a difference between the state quantity observed by the map matching and the state quantity estimated by the dead reckoning.

Abstract: An abnormality is detected in a sensor system mounted on a vehicle and including first and second external sensors for acquiring external information and an internal sensor for acquiring internal information. An error, occurring in an internal motion physical quantity based on the internal information, is estimated based on the external information, and the error is corrected. A first external motion physical quantity based on the external information acquired by the first external sensor, a second external motion physical quantity based on the external information acquired by the second external sensor, and the internal motion physical quantity in which the error is corrected by the correction block are compared to determine an abnormality in the sensor system.

Abstract: An electric steering control device controls a steering characteristic by outputting an assist torque using a motor, and the assist torque corresponds to a detection value of a steering torque which is applied to a steering shaft. The electric steering control device includes a steering target value generation unit generating a target value of the steering torque based on a state amount estimated from the target value of the steering torque and the assist torque, a command value generation unit generating a command value for controlling the motor to reduce a deviation between the target value of the steering torque and the detection value of the steering torque to a level lower than a predetermined threshold, and a motor drive unit driving the motor based on the command value.

Abstract: An electric power steering control apparatus that assists a steering operation made by a driver with a motor includes: a target torque calculation unit calculating a target steering torque; an assist torque calculation unit calculating an assist torque which enables an actual steering torque follows close to the target steering torque according to a difference therebetween; a motor drive unit driving a motor acting on a steering system mechanism so that a steering angle of vehicle is changed according to the assist torque; and a followability change unit that detects an abnormality of a torque sensor for detecting the actual steering torque. When abnormality is detected in the torque sensor, a followability of the actual steering torque to the target steering torque controlled by the assist torque is degraded compared with a case where no abnormality is detected in the torque sensor.
