    摘要: An LCD panel having analog display mode and memory display mode includes a capacitive element and first to third switch elements. The first switch element turns ON during a first operation for writing pixel potential from a signal line to the capacitive element, and turns OFF during a second operation. The second and third switch elements turn OFF during the first operation. The second switch element turns ON during a readout period of a second operation, to read out the pixel potential from the capacitive element. The third switch element turns ON during a write period in the second operation, to rewrite the pixel potential into the capacitive element.

    摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device for displaying a desired image by a display unit, the display unit being formed by sandwiching a liquid crystal layer between a thin film transistor substrate and a CF substrate and arranging liquid crystal cells formed by the liquid crystal layer in a form of a matrix, wherein the thin film transistor substrate is created by disposing at least a transistor used to drive a liquid crystal cell and a pixel electrode of the liquid crystal cell on an insulating substrate, and a part or all of a storage capacitor of an adjacent liquid crystal cell is created in a layer below the pixel electrode with a shield layer interposed between the pixel electrode and the storage capacitor.

    摘要: This invention applies illustratively to a horizontal driving circuit for a liquid crystal display device, and to a liquid crystal display device utilizing that horizontal driving circuit. With a CMOS latch cell 12 disconnected from power supplies VDD2 and VSS2, the input of the latch cell 12 is connected to an upstream circuit 51 so as to set corresponding data on the cell. Then with the input of the CMOS latch cell 12 disconnected from the upstream circuit 51, the power supplies VDD2 and VSS2 to the CMOS latch cell 12 are switched on to level-shift the data set on the latch cell 12.

    摘要: The display device with high detection accuracy includes: display pixel electrodes; a common electrode; a display function layer; a display control circuit performing image display control by applying a pixel voltage to each of the display pixel electrodes and applying a common drive voltage to the common electrode, the common drive voltage inverting in synchronization with a drive cycle of the image display control; a touch detection electrode cooperating with the common electrode to form a capacitor; and a touch detection circuit detecting an external proximity object, based on a detection signal obtained from the touch detection electrode in response to the common drive voltage applied to the common electrode. The touch detection circuit corrects the detection signal based on a gray scale of the image signal at the time of acquisition of the detection signal, and performs the detection operation.
