Abstract: Automatic test equipment (ATE) includes circuitry configured to pass a signal in a channel of the ATE, and memory configured to store a first and second correction values. A first correction value is based on a first version of the signal, where the first correction value is for use in correcting static non-linearity associated with the channel. A second correction value is based on a second version of the signal, where the second correction value is for use in correcting dynamic non-linearity associated with the channel. Digital signal processing logic is configured to use the first correction value, the second correction value, and the signal in order to compensate for harmonic distortion from the channel.

Abstract: A system and methods of use for assembling packages has one or more conveyors for advancing one or more product flavors into an accumulation of product units. At an accumulation area the accumulated product units are separated into a subset of pack units by a pack splitter which are then deposited onto an indexing conveyor. The pack units may be supported by a substrate. The pack units are advanced along the indexing conveyor for final package assembly.

Abstract: In the disclosed method of manufacturing an implantable wireless sensor, a cavity is etched in one side of a first substrate. A conductive structureare formed on the base of the cavity. A second conductive structureare formed on a surface of a second substrate, and the two substrates are mutually imposed such that the two conductive plates and coils are disposed in opposed, spaced-apart relation. Abstract: The progress of a endovascular aneurysm repair can be monitored by inserting a pressure transducer sensor using a catheter into the sac during endovascular aneurysm repair and then using a small, hand-held read out device to measure pressure easily, safely, inexpensively and accurately. In one aspect a sensor is introduced into the body by the steps of loading the sensor into a catheter, and deploying into the aneurysm sac. This invention also has other applications for measuring physical properties in patients or in other sites.

Abstract: A system for lowering and raising telecommunications equipment along a mast pole. The system comprises a mast pole, a platform means, a frame means, a plurality of lift cables, a hoisting means and a transition means. The platform means surrounds the external surface of the mast pole and is moveable along the length thereof. The platform means is arranged for mounting of telecommunications equipment thereon. The frame means is attached at the open upper end of the mast pole shaft and comprises pulley means, means for guiding at least one lift cable and means for guiding at least one telecommunications cable, i.e., signal cable or power cable. Each lift cable has a first end connected to the platform means and extends through the guiding means and through the passageway of the mast pole. The hoisting means is secured to the lower end of the mast pole and is provided for selectively raising and lowering the platform means. The pulley means includes a winch cable having a free end. The transition means is located within the passageway of the mast pole and is provided to couple the second end of the lift cables to the free end of the winch cable. The transition means also provides a means for retaining at least one telecommunications cable therein.

Abstract: An electrode array has a flexible body supporting a plurality of electrodes. Each electrode comprises an exposed connector pad at the upper end of the body, an exposed recording/stimulating pad at the lower end of the body, and a conductor located within the body and electrically connecting the connector pad and the recording/stimulating pad. In one embodiment the electrode array has an elongated recording/stimulating portion coiled or folded to distribute the exposed recording/stimulating pads in three dimensions. An implantation method employs an introducer with a helical portion to which an end of the flexible electrode is attached. The helical portion straightens to pass through a small-diameter cannula and then resumes its helical configuration to place the recording/stimulating portion of the attached electrode in a helix within the patient's tissues.

Abstract: A stent constructed using elements containing micro-mechanical latching mechanisms is disclosed. The micro-mechanical latching elements allow sliding motion between two surfaces in one direction, and restrict sliding motion in the opposite direction. The micro-mechanical latch surface features are formed using microelectronic mechanical systems (MEMS) manufacturing methods. The male surface of the latching components contains an array of ridges or protrusions, and the receiving surface contains a matching array of recesses. The array of ridges or protrusions and the corresponding recesses have uniformly dissimilar slopes that result in a substantially greater frictional force in one direction than in the opposite direction. The separation distance between the two surfaces is such that the male latch surface is engaged with the receiving surface recesses in the low stress “locked” state, preventing motion in the undesired direction.
