The main frame includes a central support portion for supporting a cushion component and first and second arms extending from the central support portion. The headgear includes a support portion, and first and second straps extending therefrom. The first strap has a first pocket and the second strap has a second pocket, wherein the first arm is received and moveable within the first pocket along a longitudinal axis of the first strap and the second arm is received and moveable within the second pocket along a longitudinal axis of the second strap. The headgear also includes first and second fastening mechanisms for securing the headgear to the main frame, holding the first arm in a selected position within the first pocket and holding the second arm in a selected position within the second pocket.

    摘要: An interface apparatus identification system for a respiration machine such as, for example, a medical ventilator, includes a detection element which is adapted to communicate with the ventilator, a patient interface assembly including a patient interface apparatus for delivering a flow of gas from the ventilator to an airway of a patient, and a differentiating feature which is incorporated into the patient interface assembly. The patient interface apparatus is selected from a predetermined category such as, for example, a specific make or brand. The differentiating feature is detectable by the detection element to distinguish patient interface apparatus that fall within the predetermined category from those that do not. Operation of the respiration machine in conjunction with the patient interface apparatus is dependent upon detection of the differentiating feature by the detection element. An associated identification method is also disclosed.

The processing unit is adapted to execute a driver for interfacing with the peripheral device in a standard mode of operation and an authentication agent in a privileged mode of operation, wherein the authentication agent includes program instructions adapted to authenticate the driver. The peripheral device may comprise a communications device, such as a software modem. A method for identifying security violations in a computer system includes executing a driver in a standard processing mode of a processing unit; transitioning the processing unit into a privileged processing mode; and authenticating the driver in the privileged processing mode. The driver may be adapted for interfacing with a communications peripheral device, such as a software modem.

    摘要: A communications system includes a physical layer hardware unit and a processing unit. The physical layer hardware unit is adapted to communicate data over a communications channel in accordance with assigned transmission parameters and receive an incoming signal over the communications channel and sample the incoming signal to generate a digital received signal. The processing unit is adapted to execute a standard mode driver in a standard mode of operation and a privileged mode driver in a privileged mode of operation. The standard mode driver includes program instructions adapted to extract encrypted data from the digital received signal and pass the encrypted data to the privileged mode driver. The privileged mode driver includes program instructions adapted to decrypt the encrypted data to generate decrypted data including control codes and transfer the control codes to the physical layer hardware unit.
