摘要： The present invention relates to dispersants containing at least two lipophilic groups (e.g., alkenyl-substituted acylating agent, such as, dodecyl succinic anhydride), and the dispersants contain a hydrophilic component (e.g., alkylene glycol, polyalkylene glycol) present in an amount sufficient to at least partially disperse the amphiphilic compound in aqueous media (e.g., 30 wt % to 80 wt %). The invention further provides for dispersants as phosphate, sulphonate, and phosphite derivatives thereof. The invention further provides for the use of the dispersants in tinter compositions (e.g., universal tinter) and reduced shade paints.

摘要： The invention relates to a composition containing a particulate solid, a plastic material (such as a thermoplastic polymer) and a compound capable of having dispersant properties. The compound may be obtained/obtainable by reacting (i) a carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof with (ii) an amine or an aminoalcohol, to form a product, wherein the carboxylic acid contains a lipophilic group R containing six or more carbon atoms; and wherein the product formed is derived from a molar ratio of (i) to (ii) is either: (a) 1:1 or greater when (i) is a carboxylic acid anhydride, or (b) ratio of greater than 1:1 when (i) is a carboxylic acid. The invention further relates to novel compounds, and the use of the compound as a dispersant.

摘要： A dispersant of general Formula I T—(A)n(B)p—Z (1) wherein T is hydrogen or a polymerisation terminating group; Z is an acidic or basic group or a moiety containing either an acidic or basic group; A and B are each, independently, oxyalkylene carbonyl groups derivable from δ-valerolactone, ε-caprolactone or alkyl substituted ε-caprolactone provided that both are not ε-caprolactone or δ-valerolactone; n and p are integers; and n+p is from 2 to 100; including salts thereof. Specific examples of dispersants are the reaction product of lauric acid, δ-caprolactone, 7-methyl-ε-caprolactone with PEI, the reaction product of lauric acid, ε-caprolactone, δ-valerolactone with PEI and the phosphate of the reaction product of dodecanol, ε-caprolactone and δ-valerolactone.
