摘要: A method of and system for driving a plasma display panel (PDP), which is designed to increase the amount of data processed in unit time. The method includes the steps of dividing row electrodes into at least two groups, splitting the field, and applying driving pulses to each split field with a phase difference. Also, the present invention uses a lower bit preceding scanning method where the bits of a digital picture signal are aggregated by bits of a kind from the most significant bit to the least significant bit and divided into a plurality of pairs of upper and lower bits as (lower bit, upper bit), the lower bit in each pair of bits being successively scanned, followed by a scanning of the upper bit in each pair of bits. Thus, the efficiency of the AC PDP is enhanced with the reduction in the time needed to construct the field, and readily driving a field even when the amount of data to be scanned is increased.

摘要: It is the main objective of the present invention to provide a plasma display panel designed to use a common electronic device, wherein a large size screen of the plasma display panel is divided by maintaining a stable discharge state of each cell and decreasing the data amount of the operating circuits in which the divided screens are operated in parallel simultaneously. To accomplish the above objective, a plasma display panel is provided having a common electrode, a scanning electrode, and a data electrode being disposed between an upper substrate and a lower substrate. The common electrode is arranged parallel to the scanning electrode, and the data electrode is arranged perpendicular to the common electrode and the scanning electrode. A cell is at the intersection where the common electrode and the scanning electrode intersect with the data electrode. The data electrode is divided for the purpose of dividing the plasma display panel into plural screens.

摘要: A method for driving an AC-type Plasma Display Panel (PDP), and more particularly, for improving the brightness and contrast of the panel by reducing the time of scanning while increasing the discharge time of cells. Accordingly, a video signal is designed to change, as needed, the sequential order of two bits, to insert appropriate erasing pulses into vertical electrodes according to the sequential order of the two bits, and to select the erasing time of each cell being connected to horizontal electrodes. Thus, combining any two or a plurality of subfields reduces the time of scanning while increasing the discharging time of the cells.

摘要: Disclosed are a beamformer and a beamforming method. The beamformer includes a plurality of dividers, each of which divides an input signal along a plurality of paths, an input switch which selects one of the dividers such that the input signal is input to the selected divider, a phase shifter which shifts phases of respective output signals from the divider, and an output switch which transmits the output signals from the phase shifter to an antenna.

摘要: In a method of estimating a leakage current in a semiconductor device, a chip including a plurality of cells is divided into segments by a grid model. Spatial correlation is determined as spatial correlation between process parameters concerned with the leakage currents in each of the cells. A virtual cell leakage characteristic function of a cell is generated by arithmetically operating actual leakage characteristic functions. A segment leakage characteristic function of a segment is generated by arithmetically operating the virtual cell leakage characteristic functions of all cells in the segment. Then, a full chip leakage characteristic function of the chip is generated by statistically operating the segment leakage characteristic functions of all segments in the chip. Accordingly, computational loads of Wilkinson's method for generating the full chip leakage characteristic function can remarkably be reduced.
