An apparatus and a method are disclosed for forming a cylindrical bale in a bale forming chamber. An endless pressing mechanims partially surrounds the bale forming chamber. A first tensioning member and a second tensioning member together tension the pressing mechanism by at least two guiding elements. A tensioning actuator is biased to pivot the second tensioning member away from the first tensioning member.

An object former surrounds a chamber and forms an object in the chamber. A web moving member moves a web of wrapping material towards a wrapping material inlet guiding into the chamber. The web is injected into the chamber. The object in the chamber is wrapped. A moveable severing member of a severing device severs the web. A movement of the web moving member is coupled with a movement of the moveable severing member from a parking position into an intermediate position. A severing actuator moves the moveable severing member from the intermediate position into a web severing position. thereby severing the web.
Abstract:
A belt-roller arrangement with a deflecting roller and an endless flexible belt and a method for guiding such a belt over such a roller are disclosed. The roller body of the roller includes two deformable roller body segments and a rigid roller body segment part which is—in an axial direction—positioned between these two deformable segments. The belt is entirely guided over the central rigid segment part and at least partially over both deformable segments. The belt run is automatically corrected.

A bale forming apparatus and a bale forming method form cylindrical bales. A bale forming chamber is surrounded by a bale forming mechanism. A bale is formed in this bale forming chamber. This bale is pushed onto a bale supporting construction. This bale supporting construction buffers the bale. A further bale is created in the bale forming chamber. One pushing member pushes the old bale from the bale forming chamber onto the bale supporting construction. This pushing member is connected with a holding device and performs a movement on a circular path for pushing the bale. The drive rotates the holding device around a rotating axis. A pivotal guiding member is pivoted into a guiding position and contributes to provide a bale forming chamber for the new bale.

An apparatus and a method for forming and wrapping a bale in a bale forming chamber into wrapping material includes a wrapping material conveying device that conveys a web of wrapping material towards a wrapping material inlet. A severing device severs the web at a severing location. The wrapping material conveying device moves the web towards the inlet, forms a leading segment of the web, and keeps the leading segment in an intermediate web providing position between the wrapping material inlet and the severing location without moving the leading segment. For starting the wrapping procedure, the web is conveyed towards the inlet.

An arrangement includes a processing chamber, at least one cover plate for the processing chamber, and a holding assembly. The holding assembly is arranged to hold the cover plate at an outer surface of the processing chamber. A method for operating such an arrangement is disclosed. The holding arrangement guides the cover plate with respect to the processing chamber from a covering position into an access-enabling position and back from the access-enabling position into the covering position. The cover plate in the covering position covers a part of the outer surface of the processing chamber. The distance between the cover plate in the access-enabling position and the processing chamber occurs. The cover plate is moved from the covering position into the access-enabling position along a curved opening trajectory. This opening trajectory is horizontal or is sloping with respect to the ground.

A feeding apparatus and a feeding method are disclosed. The apparatus and the method feed wrapping material towards an inlet of a chamber. An object in this chamber is to be wrapped with wrapping material injected into the chamber. A wrapping material supplying unit supplies wrapping material from a reservoir towards the inlet such that a loose end area is formed. A drive drives a conveying surface of a wrapping material feeding unit either in a feeding direction or in a cleaning direction. If moved in the feeding direction, the conveying surface conveys the loose end area towards the inlet. If moved in the cleaning direction, the conveying surface cleans the inlet from debris.

An agricultural piston bale press includes a pressing piston, a main driving mechanism, an intake device to take in crop material, and a stuffing device. The stuffing device includes a feed passage and a stuffing mechanism that has a tine arm supporting tines that can be moved along a stuffing trajectory, and a drive mechanism for driving the tine arm. The drive mechanism is configured to move the tine arm in a cyclic movement along a constant trajectory, and that the tines are movably supported on the tine arm so that the tines can be arranged in different positions with respect to the tine arm to follow different trajectories.

The loading device includes a pivotable loading structure, and at least one actuator to move the loading structure between a pick-up position and a release position, wherein the loading structure comprises two loading arms between which the bale can be arranged. A pivotable grip arm is mounted on each loading arm. The pivotable grip arms are pivotable with respect to the loading arms between a closed position and an open position, and the at least one actuator is arranged to also move at least one of the grip arms between the open and the closed position.
