Abstract: A communication terminal includes: a power supply unit: a sensor: a wireless communication unit that transmits a detected value detected by the sensor to an external device in a wireless manner; and a control unit that sets one of a first mode and a second mode as an operation mode of the communication terminal, acquires the detected value detected by the sensor, and controls electric current to be supplied from the power supply unit, the electric current to be supplied to part of the control unit and the wireless communication unit in the second mode being made lower than in the first mode, wherein, when a difference between a present detected value detected by the sensor and a previous detected value detected by the sensor is smaller than a threshold value, the control unit sets the second mode as the operation mode of the communication terminal.
