    摘要: An optical disc recording and reproducing apparatus incorporates apparatus for recording a modulated signal on an optical disc, using a laser beam, and apparatus for optically reading a signal recorded on the disc. In both recording and reproducing modes, an optical signal is produced from the disc and used to supply a control signal to a servo system, for controlling the position of the laser beam relative to the optical disc. Apparatus is provided for subtracting, from the servo control signal, the low frequency components in the modulated signal being recorded on the disc, to improve the accuracy of focus and tracking of the laser beam relative to the optical disc.

    摘要: A signal recording and reproducing device for use with an opto-magnetic disk having a number of concentric recording tracks. An optical head sweeps a given track at least twice during a time interval equal to a predetermined reproduction time for the track. Erasure signals and recording signals are supplied to the optical head during the first time sweeping and the second time sweeping, respectively, in order to effect signal erasure and recording. At the time of switching from the first time sweeping to the second time sweeping, the address data indicating the end point written on the terminal portion of the previously recorded signal area are sensed, and the recording is effected from the thus sensed recording end point.

    摘要: Video data of a plurality of different formats is mixedly recorded onto one disc-shaped recording medium so that they can be continuously reproduced. A clip is constructed by video data, audio data, auxiliary AV data, and time-sequential meta data which are time-sequentially associated. The data is managed by a directory structure. The data constructing the clip is collectively stored into clip directories under a directory CLPR. When the format of, for example, the video data is changed during the recording, the clip is divided at the changing position, a clip directory is newly formed, and a new clip is formed. The mixture existence of the formats among the clip directories is permitted. The mixture existence of the formats in the file stored in the clip directory is not permitted.

    摘要: An optical information recording and reproducing apparatus for recording and reproducing an information signal on and from a recording medium, respectively, having a recording track, and which includes a beam generator, having a laser, for generating a primary beam and first and second secondary beams of light arranged substantially in the same direction as the track on the recording medium, a focussing lens for focusing the primary beam and first and second secondary beams of light on the recording medium, and a detecting device having a primary photodetector for detecting a reflected primary beam from the recording medium and first and second secondary photodetectors for detecting reflected first and second secondary beams from the recording medium. Additionally the apparatus includes a beam intensity control device for controlling the intensity of at least the primary light beam such that high and low intensities of at least the primary beam are sufficient to create and prevent indicia in the recording medium, respectively, in accordance with the information signal when the apparatus is in a recording mode and for controlling the intensity of at least the primary beam such that a substantially constant intensity is maintained in at least the primary beam to prevent indicia from being formed in the recording medium when said apparatus is in a reproducing mode. The apparatus also includes a focussing control device for controlling the position of the focussing lens by using the amplified difference between the outputs of the first and second secondary photodetectors when the apparatus is in a recording mode, and a position control device for controlling the tracking of the primary beam on the recording track in response to the amplified difference between the outputs of the first and second secondary photodetectors when the apparatus is in a reproducing mode.

    摘要: Reproducing heads reproduce signals from a tape in advance of recording heads for a time period equivalent to a system delay. An ECC decoder corrects an error of a signal received from each reproducing head. A BRR decoder decompresses and decodes the signal received from the ECC decoder. A concealing circuit interpolates the signal received from the BRR decoder. An output signal of the concealing circuit is sent back to a selector of the recording system. The selector switches between a signal received from an input terminal and the reproduced signal at the end of each field. An intra-field encoding process or an intra-frame encoding process can be selected as an compressing and encoding process. Information that represents the selected encoding process is recorded on the tape.

    摘要: A cutting apparatus is provided, in which a recording laser beam from a laser light source is ON/OFF-modulated by an optical modulating device on the basis of a square output signal in which a video FM wave signal is pulse width modulated by an audio FM wave signal thereby to form exposure pits on a master disc. This cutting apparatus includes a photodetector for receiving one portion of the recording laser beam irradiated on the master disc from the laser light source or a photodetector for receiving a reflected light of the recording laser beam irradiated on the master disc from the laser light source and which is reflected on the master disc. A detected output signal from the photodetector is supplied through a low-pass filter to a control circuit which controls an intensity of an output laser beam from the laser light source, and an offset of a source system line is adjusted so that a secondary higher harmonic component of a main carrier in the detected output from the photodetector is minimized.
