摘要： The present invention provides a multi-function apparatus comprises a pressure plate for pressing an original placed on an original support plate, a read means for reading an image of the original on the original support plate, a reception means for receiving data representing an image, a record means for recording images based on the image read by the read means and the data received by the reception means, a detection means for detecting open/close of the pressure plate, a changeover means for changing a first mode and a second mode, the first mode being to record by using the record means the image based on the image read by the read means, and the second mode being to record by using the record means the image based on the data received by the reception means, wherein the changeover means changes, in a case where the data is received by the reception means during the first mode is being set, the mode to the second mode if a predetermined period of time is elapsed from the detection by the detection means that the pressure plate was closed, whereby the efficiency of a copy function process can be improved in the multi-function apparatus.

When the interval between the predetermined number of sheet materials to be directed into the reversing path widens to such an extent that the sheet materials cannot be contained in the reversing path, preceding one of the sheet materials is decelerated or stopped in conformity with the widening to enable the predetermined number of sheets to be contained in the reversing path.

摘要： A safety razor having a retractable blade member. The safety razor has a platform integral with the handle portion of the razor and provided with a recess formed in the upper surface thereof, a blade support member movably received by the recess of the platform, a blade member provided with front cutting edge and secured to and supported by said blade support member so as to project forwardly from the latter, a cover member fixed to the platform and cooperating with the latter in movably holding therebetween the blade support member together with the blade member, and apparatus for moving the blade member between a first position where the cutting edge is fully retracted and disappears behind the cover member and a second position where the cutting edge is fully extended. The cover member and the platform cooperate with each other in defining therebetween an elongated opening through which the cutting edge is moved in and out as the blade supporting member is moved by the above-mentioned apparatus. When the blade supporting member is moved toward the first position, the shaved matters sticking to the cutting edge or its vicinity are scraped off by the peripheral edges of the elongated opening.
