Abstract: A system for creating vehicle lighting atmosphere of a vehicle is provided. The system includes ambient lighting including a plurality of lights configured for illuminating an interior of the vehicle or an exterior of the vehicle with a selectable light color. The system further includes a computerized vehicle lighting controller, including programming to monitor an input useful to select an ambient lighting theme, select an ambient lighting theme based upon the input, and generate a command to control the ambient lighting based upon the ambient lighting theme.

Abstract: Aspects of drone-assisted offroad vehicle emergency systems are addressed. In one aspect, a system includes an offroad vehicle having integrated therein a processing system coupled to a user interface. The processing system is configured to respond to a potential emergency situation including a stranded or lost person or a hazardous condition in a path of the vehicle. An aerial drone is equipped with multiple sensors for receiving data. Responsive to a trigger, the processing system may instruct the drone to deploy one or more times to survey a target region. The drone may receive sensor data relevant to an emergency situation and relay the data back to the vehicle. The processing system analyzes the data to provide a remedial response.

Abstract: A system and method for coordinating wireless cellular communications for a plurality of cellular devices at a wireless coordination device. Abstract: A system and method of executing a user-defined notification task, and wherein the method includes: receiving a user-defined notification task at the vehicle via one or more user interfaces, wherein the user-defined notification task specifies a trigger event and a notification action, the trigger event being selectable from the plurality of predefined trigger events via the one or more user interfaces, and the notification action being configurable via selection of one or more notification settings via the plurality of notification settings; in response to receiving the user-defined notification task at the vehicle, configuring one or more vehicle system modules to monitor for an occurrence of the trigger condition of the user-defined notification event; and in response to detecting the occurrence of the trigger event of the user-defined notification task, executing the notification action so that a vehicle user is notified of the occurrence of the trigger event.

Abstract: Vehicles, systems and methods for acquiring a choreographic light pattern not previously available to the vehicles are presented. In some aspects, a target vehicle includes a processing system therein, an input interface coupled to the processing system and accessible to a user, and one or more image or other sensors positioned for capturing data from a source vehicle emitting a light pattern of interest. The processing system may scan and record a light pattern emitted by a portion of another vehicle in a line of sight of the vehicle. The scan uses data from the sensors and pattern recognition code. The identified light pattern is converted into metadata and transmitted to a central database. If the transmitted pattern is available and compatible with the target vehicle, the database may send a prompt to the target vehicle to download or purchase the pattern.

Abstract: Drone-based offroad vehicle routing systems and corresponding methods are proposed. In one aspect, a vehicle and uniquely assigned an aerial drone embedded with sensors, radar, lidar, etc. may establish a data link. The driver or occupant may input information into the user interface in the vehicle about a region or destination of interest. The vehicle's processor may instruct the drone to scout a target region and receive data about the topographic features of the terrain. The drone may scout the region, receive the data, and forward the data to the vehicle. The processor may compute optimal routes based on data from both the drone and the vehicle sensors. In some aspects, the drone performs calculations of the route and may communicate in or near real time with the vehicle. The system may take into account vehicle data, the skill level of the driver, or both.
