摘要： A system for measuring power consumption by a mobile device corresponding to access of web pages is provided. The system includes: the mobile device, configured to access web pages via a wireless network; a power measurement device connected to a battery of the mobile device, configured to measure parameters related to power consumption; and a server, in communication with the mobile device and the power measurement device, configured to control the mobile device's access of web pages and control the power measurement device's measurement of parameters, to receive measurements from the power measurement device, and to process the received measurements so as to correlate the mobile device's access of a web page with an amount of power consumed corresponding to the mobile device's access of the web page.

摘要： A system and method for modifying images has an ability to assign color intensity values to pixels exposed during image manipulation operations. The system and method for modifying images comprises means for using the color intensity values of remaining pixels in the original image, and for assigning color values to the exposed pixels that are similar to those of the surrounding pixels so that the exposed regions blends smoothly with the surrounding region. The means for assigning color values assigns the value of color intensity based on the color intensity value function determined at a location of a pixel. The color intensity value function used to assign values to exposed pixels is determined by fitting a function to the known color intensity values of pixels in the boundary regions of the exposed surrounding pixels. The color intensity value function is approximated using energy minimization along with boundary conditions.

摘要： A method and apparatus for transferring data between a handheld device and a network over a wireless communications link. A datapool manager breaks files into virtual blocks and adds the virtual blocks to a datapool. A communications manager converts the virtual blocks into transportation packets and controls the transfer of the transportation packets between the handheld device and the network. After a transportation packet is transferred, an acknowledgment is returned indicating that the transfer was successful. If the transfer of a file is interrupted, then, upon reestablishing the wireless link, only those transportation packets for which an acknowledgment has not been returned are transferred. To properly reconstruct the file, a pointer indicates the location of each transportation packet in the file. Furthermore, to enable the use of a partially transferred file, a table of information is maintained indicating the validity of the partially transferred file. Transportation packets are identified as instruction packets or data packets. When determining the order of transfer, priority is placed on the transfer of instruction packets.
