    摘要: A magnetic head mounting device of a magnetic recording apparatus including a carriage, a first magnetic head supported by the carriage, a head arm supported by the carriage for movement in a vertical direction, and a second magnetic head supported by the head arm and disposed in spaced juxtaposed relation to the first magnetic head, wherein both or one of the first magnetic head and second magnetic head is mounted on the carriage or head arm through a gimbal. The gimbal includes a head mounting section for mounting the first magnetic head or second magnetic head thereto, and a supported section disposed outwardly of the head mounting section and partly supported by projections located at the carriage or head arm, the head mounting section and supported section being partly connected together through a plurality of connections. The gimbal is mounted to one or both of the head arm and carriage in such a manner that the head mounting section and supported section are connected together in a direction which is parallel to the direction of sliding movement of the carriage.

    摘要: A magnetic head positioning apparatus including a chassis, a driving device provided on the chassis, a guide member provided on the chassis, a carrier movably provided on the guide member, a first metallic head support mounted on the carrier and adapted to support a first magnetic head, and a second metallic head support mounted on the carrier and adapted to support a second magnetic head which is disposed to oppose the first magnetic head. A coupling member is formed on the first head support and directly connected to the driving device. By moving the coupling member by the operation of the driving device, the carrier is moved along the guide member through the first head support. Thus, it is possible for the magnetic head positioning apparatus to possess excellent resistance to environmental changes and to effect highly accurate positioning of the magnetic heads.

    摘要: In an electrothermal transfer system which uses a sheet formed by integrally binding at least a resistive layer and an ink layer and effects desired transfer by flowing electric current through the resistive layer thereby causing the resistive layer to generate joulean heat and enabling the ink layer to be partially fused to be transferred, an electrothermal transfer recording sheet has the resistive layer formed by application of a mixture of carbon black with a resin binder. The carbon black used herein is possessed of a DBP oil absorption capacity of not less than 300 ml/100 g. Thus, the carbon black content in the resistive layer can be as small as 5 to 35% by weight, the tight adhesiveness of the resistive layer improved, and the power consumption lowered.
