摘要： A multi-function air inlet control apparatus for an aircraft engine includes an air inlet frame housing a plurality of adjacent, spaced apart louvers attached by hinges at opposing ends to the air inlet frame. The hinges allow the louvers to pivot through a substantially 180 degree angle defined by a vertical plane of the air inlet frame. A linking device interconnects with each of louvers, whereby the louvers are moved in unison through the substantially 180 degree angle. An actuator communicates with the linking device for controlling the movement of the louvers in response to operating parameters of the aircraft engine. The multi-function air inlet control is a single device that fulfills the need for additional air during takeoff and other critical modes, and that will dump air overboard when the engine is throttling or is shut down.

摘要： In an assembly of two members that are threadably secured and have opposed radially extending sealing surfaces that may experience forced relative tilting there is provided an elastomeric sealing ring that engages these surfaces and has a radially facing circumferential V-shape groove providing lips that are preloaded between the sealing surfaces but do not touch each other on application of a predetermined securing torque and then on forced relative tilting of the members which tends to unseat the ring at some circumferential location the lips at this location remain preloaded while flexing to maintain sealing while at the diametrically opposite location the lips are forced toward full contact.

摘要： A down-hole tool guide is disclosed for deflecting various down-hole tools having a tendency to hang or bind in uncased bore holes. The down-hole tool guide or ball guide assembly, being adaptive to the down-hole tools, extends forwardly there from and includes an eccentric rotatable ball and high-pressure jets. 摘要： A tool for washing out drill cuttings accumulations in blowout preventer stacks connected to oil and gas well prior to testing the blowout preventers. The tool utilizes a finned tubular member and a brush to break away and fluidicly scour drill cuttings and the like from the well head casing connection and the blowout preventers and riser casing connected thereto with high pressure fluids emitted from the tool being directed into the crevices of the preventers, thereby flushing cuttings accumulations upwardly, through the riser casing to the surface for removal, prior to pressurizing the well head and testing of the system by actuating the ram type blowout preventers.
