摘要： A hydraulic-powered motor for stepwise operation has a plurality of radial pistons in a rotatable cylinder block, the pistons engaging a cam track having a number of indentations which is different from the number of the pistons. Electrically operated valves are provided and are energizable in sequence to apply pressure pulses to the pistons to cause stepwise rotation of the cylinder block. Detent means may be provided to prevent rotation of the cylinder block in the absence of a pressure pulse to any one of the pistons.

摘要： In an array of LEDs coupled between a transparent substrate and an electrode, a light emitting surface of each LED is in electrical contact with a region of acicular ITO. By contacting the light emitting surface of the die, the acicular ITO also provides light scattering. The contact regions are interconnected to form the array. The acicular ITO acts as a ballast resistance for each die and the resistance can be trimmed for more uniform current among the LEDs. Because each LED is individually ballasted, the LEDs in an array can be driven in any pattern or all simultaneously at a consistent brightness.

摘要： A container for a drink comprised of a bag of flexible plastic material for drink compacting sheets (1,2) welded upon each other by means of spaced longitudinal and transverse seams (3,4,5 and 6) which bag by means of a strip (7) or sheet (23) has been provided with a space for the insertion of a straw (13) such that the welding seams of said strip (7) or sheet (23) are either at a distance from the seams of the bag or coincide with said seams, an opening being provided for the insertion of the straw. The straw is movable within the space for puncturing the inside wall of the space which is elastically deformable and elastically surrounds the outer perimeter of the straw after it has punctured the wall. The straw may be removed if the contents of the bag are only partially consumed, thereby forming a seal by the punctured wall pushing against the outside wall of the space under pressure from the contents therein.The invention also deals with a method for manufacturing the bag by guiding a third sheet (23) into the path of the bag forming sheets (1,2).

摘要： A system for employers and other organizations desiring the results of fingerprint-based criminal history background checks to validate that the intended applicants' fingerprints were in fact used for the checks. This system includes: 1. A compatible method for capturing individual applicants' fingerprints for the purpose of conducting fingerprint-based criminal history background checks at collection points and means for transmitting the applicants' fingerprints and biographical data to an Automated Fingerprint Image System (AFIS); 2. A compatible device at the employer's location that captures an electronic image of one or more of the applicant's fingerprints and means for transmitting these fingerprints and biographical data to an Automated Fingerprint Image System (AFIS). These prints are captured solely for the purpose of validating that the applicants' fingerprints were captured at the collection points and were used for the criminal history background checks; and 3. An AFIS that: (1) stores the fingerprints and biographical data submitted for fingerprint-based criminal history background checks at one or more criminal history repositories, (2) stores the results of the fingerprint-based criminal history background checks, i.e., whether the applicant has a criminal history record, and (3) compares the validation prints with the prints submitted for the criminal history background check under the applicants' biographical data.
