Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for detecting, monitoring, and responding to abnormalities in a subject's breathing or heartbeat. One or more sensing devices may collect breathing or heartbeat related data, which may be filtered and converted to a frequency signal. The frequency signal may be monitored for irregularity or stoppage, and a processing module may determine whether the irregularity or stoppage is caused by an actual stoppage or irregularity in breathing or heartbeat. If breathing or heartbeat is determined to have stopped, a corrective action may be performed.

Abstract: A device for providing light and sound to a surrounding area configured to output sound and light in combination of a breathing cadence to calm a subject. The device includes a light configured to emit light at varying colors and levels of intensity synchronized with varying volumes of the sound output. The intensity of light output may increase during an inhalation period of the cadence and decrease during an exhalation period of the cadence. The cadence may be adjusted, manually or automatically, or matched to a user's breathing pattern, to provide desired light and sound combination to provide a calming effect. The sound output may be white noise, pink noise, or Brown noise, or a recording of other sounds.

Abstract: An attachment device is provided which allows a range of accessories to be mounted above a bassinet. The attachment device includes two clamps which are biased by a spring to be pulled toward one another, a vertical pole, and an arm which may be curved such that it attaches to the vertical pole at one end and may be substantially horizontal at the other end. The end of the arm furthest from the pole includes an attachment point for attaching accessories. An adapter may be used to connect the accessories to the attachment point. Specific safety measures may also be provided to prevent the attachment device from falling forward into the bassinet and to allow the attachment device to be removed quickly if necessary.

Abstract: A crib assembly includes a frame to support a mattress, an enclosure having sides defining an enclosure area, and an attachment system including a first and second attachment mechanisms.
