    Abstract: An automatic analyzer has a transport device which includes a specimen rack gripping mechanism that grips the specimen rack on a first transport path on which the specimen racks are transported by the specimen rack being sandwiched between gripping plates from both sides of flanks in the transport direction to transport the specimen rack along the first transport path and a gripping width controller that controls a distance between the gripping plates of the specimen rack gripping mechanism in accordance with a width of the specimen rack. Accordingly, an automatic analyzer capable of transporting a plurality of types of the specimen racks while suppressing an increase in size of the apparatus and also an increase in cost can be provided.

    Abstract: A detergent reservoir reserves detergent for cleaning of a sample probe and includes a cleaning liquid supply port, a detergent supply port, and a waste liquid port When a predetermined condition for execution of cleaning of the detergent reservoir is not satisfied, and a remaining amount of the detergent reserved in the detergent reservoir is a predetermined amount or less, a pump is operated to increase the remaining amount of the detergent to the predetermined amount; and when the predetermined condition for execution of cleaning of the detergent reservoir is satisfied, a solenoid valve is opened to dispose of the detergent in the detergent reservoir. Then, after the detergent in the detergent reservoir is disposed of, the solenoid valve is closed, and a pump is operated to supply cleaning liquid to the detergent reservoir.

    Abstract: To provide an automated analyzer adapted for accommodating a larger number of reagent cassettes to meet calls for increases in analytical throughput and in the number of analytical items, and thus using the accommodated reagent cassettes more efficiently. An automated analyzer body 100 includes a main reagent buffer 4 for storing a plurality of reagent cassettes each containing a reagent used for analysis and a subsidiary reagent buffer 12. A reagent cassette transfer 11 transfers the reagent cassettes from the main reagent buffer to the subsidiary reagent buffer, and vice versa. A control unit 200 operates so that when a reagent cassette that is not set in the main reagent buffer is to be used for an assigned analysis, the reagent cassette for the assigned analysis is transferred from the subsidiary reagent buffer to the main reagent buffer.

    Abstract: To provide an automatic analyzer which is not influenced by fluidity or viscosity of a sample, and which can stably dispense the sample with dispensing accuracy by determining whether a flow route including a sample probe is in a stable and suction-available state when the sample is suctioned. In suction of the sample, before the sample is suctioned, in the flow route including the sample probe, the automatic analyzer determines whether the sample is in a suction-available state or in a suction-unavailable state, and performs cleaning on the flow route when it is determined that the sample is not in the suction-available state. Since the state in the flow route including the sample probe is determined before the sample is suctioned, the automatic analyzer can repeatedly perform a dispensing operation having improved reliability, without being influenced by the fluidity or the viscosity.

    Abstract: An automated analyzer maintains high processing capacity and dispensation accuracy even when items requiring dilution/pretreatment and general reaction measurement are mixed. A plurality of sample dispensing mechanisms are independently driven and each include a sample collection position, a sample nozzle for collecting the sample, and a washing tank for washing the sample nozzle. The sample dispensing mechanisms are configured to collect the sample from a plurality of sample collection positions and are operated independently to perform sample dispensation into reaction containers on a reaction disc. At least one of the sample dispensing mechanisms is provided for each of a sample requiring dilution/pretreatment and a sample that does not require dilution/pretreatment. The automated analyzer is provided with a control means for causing the respective mechanisms to be operated in a dedicated manner. The sample is dispensed such that no vacancy is created in the reaction containers.

    Abstract: An automatic analysis device in which a probe is washed in a short period of time and the amount of washing water which may be mixed in at the time of suctioning of a succeeding liquid can be decreased. Washing water is supplied to a throttle portion of a washing tank from a washing nozzle. A reagent probe is inserted into the washing tank. Washing of the outside of the reagent probe, washing of the throttle portion, and a washing operation for the inside of the reagent probe are performed while a lowering operation of the reagent probe is performed. The automatic analysis device is configured to perform a drying operation by using vacuum nozzles even when the reagent probe is lifted, and thus, washing and drying operations of the reagent probe can be sped up and can be performed in a short period of time.

    Abstract: Provided is an automatic analyzer capable of performing measurements efficiently. The automatic analyzer comprises: a first reagent disk on which reagent packs each storing a reagent to be used for a reaction are placed; a second reagent disk; and a reagent pack transfer mechanism which transfers the reagent packs between the first reagent disk and the second reagent disk. A judgment unit and a drive control unit of a computer operate to transfer a reagent pack that has been placed on the second reagent disk to the first reagent disk using the reagent pack transfer mechanism, perform at least quality control measurement out of the calibration and the quality control measurement with the reagent stored in the reagent pack transferred to the first reagent disk, and thereafter return the reagent pack to the second reagent disk using the reagent pack transfer mechanism.
