Abstract: The present invention discloses a system for detecting an obstacle for a vehicle. The system includes an information collection unit that monitors movement information of a vehicle, road information, and location information of the vehicle; a determination unit that determines whether the vehicle enters a special mode in which the vehicle turns and moves backward on a road through the movement information of the vehicle, the road information, and the location information of the vehicle from the information collection unit; and a controller that deactivates a rear monitoring function of either side of the vehicle in response to a determination that the vehicle enters the special mode.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling lane change is disclosed. The apparatus may include a weight detection unit sensing weight of freight, a safety space setting unit receiving sensed weight and setting a safety space required for a vehicle to safely move to a target lane from a current lane based on the sensed weight, a sensor unit sensing whether an object exists in the safety space using at least one sensor, and a control unit controlling the vehicle to move to the target lane within a preset time when there is no sensed object. A method of controlling lane change is also disclosed.

Abstract: A system for controlling a subject vehicle includes a front detection unit to detect a driving situation of a target vehicle located in front of the subject vehicle; a determination unit to detect reversing of the target vehicle or predict a collision between the target vehicle and the subject vehicle through the front detection unit; and a control unit to, when the reversing of the target vehicle is detected or the collision between target vehicle and the subject vehicle is predicted through the determination unit, generate a warning signal of the subject vehicle or control driving of the subject vehicle so that the subject vehicle avoids the collision with the target vehicle.

Abstract: A device and method for preventing blind spot collision based on vehicle-to-vehicle communication. The method includes detecting a forward vehicle, requesting vehicle-to-vehicle communication with the forward vehicle, receiving image data and ultrasound data of the forward vehicle, analyzing information about a moving object in a blind spot formed by the forward vehicle, based on the image data and the ultrasound data, calculating a possibility of collision with the moving object based on the information about the moving object, and performing one or both of warning notification and collision avoidance control based on the possibility of collision.
