    摘要: A wheel supporting device includes: a hub unit that has a rotary ring having a first spline on its axially inner end face; and a joint that has an outer ring having a second spline, meshing with the first spline, on its axially outer end face. At least one projection included in a plurality of projections of the first spline projects in the axial direction by a larger amount than the remaining projections of the first spline. When a crest of the at least one projection contacts a crest of one of projections of the second spline, a play is caused between the rotary ring and the outer ring due to the at least one projection that works as a fulcrum.

    摘要: It is a cage that is formed of a resin and that holds balls serving as rolling elements. The cage includes an annular base portion, and a plurality of claw portions that are formed to be arranged at constant intervals on the circumference of the base portion and to protrude therefrom. A pocket for accommodating the ball is formed between each pair of adjacent ones of the claw portions. In the resin cage for a ball bearing, thinning recesses are formed in end parts 11a of the claw portions and a rear surface of the base portion, respectively.

    摘要: In an evaluation apparatus of a hub unit, a signal processing unit outputs frequency analysis signals which indicate such a result obtained by that an output signal of an acceleration sensor fixed on a hub unit by a magnet is processed via an A/D converting unit and an envelope detecting unit, and thereafter, the processed sensor signal is analyzed for a frequency analysis by an FFT unit. Then, an evaluation output unit evaluates damage conditions of the hub unit based upon signal strengths of specific frequencies, and overall values, which are acquired from the frequency analysis signals, and then, outputs the evaluated damage condition to a display unit.

The cam shaft assembly includes: the cam shaft (1); a cam 2 separate from the cam shaft (1) and including a through-hole so as to be fitted on the cam shaft (1); and a rolling bearing 3 including annular monolithic inner and outer rings and serving to rotatably support the cam shaft (1). The cam shaft (1) is formed in a linear structure which has the same diameter at its portion where the cam 2 is mounted and its portion where the rolling bearing 3 is mounted.
