    摘要: A silent plug includes a switch adapted to be automatically opened when the connector is inserted into the jack and closed when the connector is not inserted into the jack to eliminate electronically generated noise that would otherwise occur when the plug is inserted. The switch has a sliding ring contact for providing the electrical connection between the tip contact and the ground sleeve and providing 360° contact with the ground sleeve via a bridging contact. A spring applies a force in the mating direction to urge the sliding ring contact into the closed position. An actuator facing the jack contacts the front face of the jack when the connector is inserted into the jack in order to urge the sliding ring contact in a direction opposite to the mating direction and against the force applied by the spring.

    摘要: Methods and systems for extending keyword searching techniques to syntactically and semantically annotated data are provided. Example embodiments provide a Syntactic Query Engine (“SQE”) that parses, indexes, and stores a data set as an enhanced document index with document terms as well as information pertaining to the grammatical roles of the terms and ontological and other semantic information. In one embodiment, the enhanced document index is a form of term-clause index, that indexes terms and syntactic and semantic annotations at the clause level. The enhanced document index permits the use of a traditional keyword search engine to process relationship queries as well as to process standard document level keyword searches. In one embodiment, the SQE comprises a Query Processor, a Data Set Preprocessor, a Keyword Search Engine, a Data Set Indexer, an Enhanced Natural Language Parser (“ENLP”), a data set repository, and, in some embodiments, a user interface or an application programming interface.

    摘要: A method of forming a transistor with recessed source/drains in an silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafer includes forming isolation structures in an active layer of the wafer, where the isolation structures preferably extend through the active layer to a BOX layer of the wafer. An upper portion of the active layer is removed to form a transistor channel structure. A gate dielectric is formed on the channel structure and a gate structure is formed on the gate dielectric. Etching through exposed portions of the gate dielectric, channel structure, and BOX layer is performed and source/drain structures are then grown epitaxially from exposed portions of the substrate bulk. The isolation structure and the BOX layer are both comprised primarily of silicon oxide and the thickness of the isolation structure prevents portions of the BOX layer from being etched.

    摘要: A method and system for automatically setting up a call in a radio telecommunications network. The system includes a first mobile switching center (MSC) servicing and controlling an area where a originating MS is located and a home location register (HLR) associated with the first MSC. The originating MS sends data which includes the selected time and a destination number of a terminating party. Within the HLR is service logic which determines when the selected time has arrived and initiates the call. Upon determining that the originating MS is idle and available, the HLR establishes a voice channel between the first MSC and the originating MS. Additionally, the HLR establishes a voice channel between the terminating party and a second MSC if the terminating party is a mobile station. The system also records a message for delivery at the selected time to the originating party. Additionally, the terminating party may be a telephone in the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
