    摘要: Quantitative transmission spectroscopy where a sample liquid is applied onto a sample carrier having a net in such a manner that the liquid spreads across the meshes of the net. The liquid on the net is exposed to radiation essentially perpendicularly to the net, and the transmitted radiation is detected. The net accomplishes a dosing of the liquid in such a manner that identical meshes include identical quantities of liquid. For a given net, it is possible to derive the amount of liquid, which is located in a mesh and accessible to radiation, from a net constant. Knowing the amount of liquid detected by the radiation, it is possible to use the radiation absorption to calculate the concentration of one or several analytes contained in the sample liquid.

    摘要: A method is provided for evaluating a set of measurement data from an oral glucose tolerance test. The method may include calculating a similarity measure that quantifies the similarity between a time profile of the series of measured data of the glucose concentration and a corresponding glucose reference profile. The method may include calculating a further similarity measure that quantifies the similarity between the profile of the series of measured values of the further analyte concentration and the corresponding analyte sample profile, wherein the data set is represented by a point in a vector space that comprises coordinate axes that are formed by the similarity measures, whereby the coordinates of said point contain the calculated values of the similarity measures. The method also may include evaluating the position of the point with respect to reference points, which each represent a defined state of health, in order to calculate a parameter that specifies the state of the glucose metabolism of the patient.

Body fluid is applied to a test element for single-use in a test device and the test element is optically coupled to a photometric measuring unit by means of an optical transmission system, wherein a time course of measuring values is recorded after the body fluid has been applied in order to detect a component of the body fluid on the test element. The transmission behavior of the optical transmission system may be controlled by recording measuring values at two different measurement wavelengths.

    摘要: A sensor is described for optically determining the concentration of an analyte in a body fluid. This sensor comprises a needle arrangement which has at least one hollow needle having a hollow space extending from the distal end to the proximal end, the distal end of which is suitable for lancing. The proximal end of the needle opens into a chamber in which liquid that enters through the distal end of the needle can be collected. A window which is at least partially permeable to infrared radiation is in direct contact with the chamber.
