摘要: Disclosed is a device for non-invasively sampling interstitial fluid including one or more analytes from dermis to the skin surface by employing the magneto-hydrodynamic effect and/or reverse iontophoresis. According to a preferable embodiment the device includes a first frame including a first electrode and a second frame including a second electrode, power source and preferably also a first magnet. The first frame is connected to the second frame by a formable connector adapted to provide mechanical connection between the first frame and the second frame and electrical connection between the power source and the first electrode. The direction of the magnetic field and the direction of the electric current produced by the magnet and the power source is such that the Lorenz force drives the fluid from the dermis towards the skin surface.

摘要: A microsensor and method of manufacture for a microsensor, comprising an array of filaments, wherein each filament of the array of filaments comprises a substrate and a conductive layer coupled to the substrate and configured to facilitate analyte detection. Each filament of the array of filaments can further comprise an insulating layer configured to isolate regions defined by the conductive layer for analyte detection, a sensing layer coupled to the conductive layer, configured to enable transduction of an ionic concentration to an electronic voltage, and a selective coating coupled to the sensing layer, configured to facilitate detection of specific target analytes/ions. The microsensor facilitates detection of at least one analyte present in a body fluid of a user interfacing with the microsensor.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a cuff-like medical device that may analyze and report the concentrations of various biomarkers in a subject's bodily fluids, samples of which may be extracted by the device in the field and analyzed on the spot using the cuff-like medical device. For example, extracellular fluid (commonly known as “tissue fluid”) of a patient may be analyzed by the present invention, and in particular, the constituent interstitial fluid—the known main component of extracellular fluid—may be analyzed for concentrations of one or more specific types of proteins. A sensor component within the device may include one or more aptamers that permit chemical binding of at least one biomarker of interest. When the aptamer-protein binding complex is complete, an electronic component of the device may employ nanoscale weighing using frequency differential analysis through quartz crystal microbalances to determine the presence and concentration of biomarkers.

摘要: Fault detection and diagnostics for a microneedle array based continuous analyte monitoring device are provided. The electrochemical sensors, including the electrodes of the analyte monitoring device configured for measuring one or more target analytes, may experience various faults during use of the analyte monitoring device. By modeling the sensors as an electrical network, measurements of the electrical network may be correlated with operational parameters of the sensor. The voltage at the counter electrode provides an indication of the resistance or impedance between the working electrode and the counter electrode and is used to identify the occurrence of faults occurring at the continuous analyte monitoring device.

Each microneedle set comprises at least a microneedle. The first microneedle set comprises at least a sheet having a through hole on which a barbule forms at the edge. One of the sheet provides the through hole from which the barbules at the edge of the other sheets go through, and the barbules are disposed separately.

摘要: At least one microneedle comprises a hydrogel material that includes a substance that fluoresces when the substance interacts with an analyte. A magnitude of the fluorescence varies as a function of the concentration of the analyte. During use, the hydrogel material is illuminated with illumination light in a first wavelength range while the hydrogel material interfaces with the dermal interstitial fluid layer of a subject, and a photosensor generates an output that corresponds to an amount of light received in a second wavelength range.
