摘要: A cubic boron nitride-containing high-density inorganic composite sintered article is produced by a method which essentially consists of preparing a mixture of a cubic boron nitride powder with an inorganic compound powder capable of forming a high-rigidity sintered article under the conditions permitting the cubic boron nitride to remain in a substantially metastable, though not thermodynamically stable, state, a mixture of an inorganic compound-coated cubic boron nitride powder with an inorganic compound powder, or an inorganic compound-coated cubic boron nitride powder, and sintering the mixture of the cubic boron nitride powder with an inorganic compound powder, the mixture of the inorganic compound-coated cubic boron nitride powder with an inorganic compound powder or an inorganic compound-coated cubic boron nitrides powder, under the conditions of not more than 2,000 MPa of pressure and not more than 1,500.degree. C. of temperature for permitting the cubic boron nitride to remain in a substantially metastable, though not thermodynamically stable, state for a period incapable of causing conversion of the cBN into a graphite-type phase.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cubic boron nitride based sintered material having excellent durability and capable of cutting at least spheroidal graphite cast iron at high speed and usable in a cutting tool having a long life, and a production method of this cubic boron nitride based sintered material. The present invention resides in a production method of a cubic boron nitride based sintered material characterized in that a mixing raw material is produced by mixing powder of Ti.sub.(1-x) Al.sub.x N(x=0.05.about.0.70) and the powder of a cubic boron nitride, and is next sintered. A compounding ratio of the above mixing raw material is preferably set such that this mixing raw material includes 10 to 90% of the above Ti.sub.(1-x) Al.sub.x N(x=0.05.about.0.70) by volume and 10 to 90% of the above cubic boron nitride by volume.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a titanium nitride aluminum based sintered material having excellent durability and able to be cheaply produced and cut spheroidal graphite cast iron at high speed and be used as a cutting tool material having a long life, and a method of production the same. The present invention resides in a production method of a titanium nitride aluminum based sintered material characterized in that powder of Ti.sub.(1-x) Al.sub.x N (x=0.05.about.0.70) is sintered. Said x is preferably set to a range from 0.05 to 0.15 or from 0.50 to 0.70. 0.2 to 11.1% of an additive by volume constructed by TiO.sub.y (y=1.about.2) and/or Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 is preferably externally added to the above titanium nitride aluminum based sintered material.

摘要: A process for producing a metal-base sinter, comprising sintering coated metal particles wherein the particles are prepared for sintering by the steps of: dispersing a powder of metal core particles in a gaseous atmosphere to form a mixture of a gas and particles in a powder of highly dispersed core particles; charging a precursor for the coat forming substance that has been formed via the vapor phase and/or a precursor for the coat forming substance in a vapor-phase state and the mixture of the gas and the powder of highly dispersed core particles that have a predetermined dispersity according to the average diameter of the core particles in a coating start region of a coating space; coating the surfaces of the core particles with the coat forming substance by allowing the precursor to contact and/or impinge against the core particles; shaping and sintering the thus coated metal core particles or a mixture containing them under appropriate sintering conditions. The metal-base sinter of high performance thus produced is uniform, dense, and sintered firmly to provide a fine and highly controlled microstructure.

摘要: An adhesive bandage used personally to cover a minor injury on a human body, especially on a finger or a toe thereof, comprises a bandage proper having an adhesive inside, a pad fixed to a substantially central portion of the inside of the bandage proper, and a protective paper having opposed end portions removably attached to the inside of the bandage proper. The protective paper has a central, greater part folded flatwise. The central greater part of the protective paper can be unfolded and has a sufficient length to provide, together with the bandage proper, an ample space through which a finger or a toe with a minor injury to be covered can be inserted, when the central greater part is unfolded. Another adhesive bandage for personal use comprises a bandage proper having an adhesive side, a pad fixed to a substantially central portion of the adhesive side of the bandage proper for directly covering a minor injury, a loop means having opposed end portions removably attached to opposed end portions of the adhesive side of the bandage proper, and a protective paper having a substantially central, greater part removably attached to the adhesive side of the bandage proper. The loop means has a sufficient length to form, together with the bandage proper, a loop which defines an expandable space through which fingers can be inserted.
