摘要: Apparatus is adapted for recording and reproducing compressed video data in a selected one of two recording formats, of which a first format is for recording the compressed video data in N (N≧3, and representing an integer) number of tracks on a magnetic tape by dividing the video data into N number of groups, and a second format is for recording data, as auxiliary data independent from the compressed video data, in two of the tracks at both ends, and the compressed video data in (N−2) number of the tracks. In the second recording format, the recording is carried out by setting a data length of an error correction code for sync blocks longer than a data length of another error correction code for sync blocks in the first recording format.

摘要: The coding apparatus according to the present invention is a coding apparatus which codes data regarding a moving picture, and includes: a DCT coefficient advanced-coding unit which performs advanced-coding on multivalued data representing a quantized DCT coefficient or a motion vector, so as to reduce the bit length of binary data obtained by binarizing the multivalued data; an advanced-coded coefficient/binary coefficient conversion unit which converts the advanced-coded data obtained by the DCT coefficient advanced-coding unit into the binary data; and an arithmetic coding unit which performs arithmetic coding on the binary data obtained by the advanced-coded coefficient/binary coefficient conversion unit.

摘要: It is possible to solve the problem that a memory block of a group containing information frequently updated quickly reaches the rewrite service life end when the number of spare blocks prepared in a non-volatile semiconductor recording medium cannot be modified or when the memory block is divided into a plurality of groups so as to be processed alternately. The non-volatile semiconductor recording medium includes a partition management information area and a partition area. Partition area start position information is recorded in the partition management information area. The start position information contains a value assuring a predetermined area between the end of the partition management information area and the head of the partition area. The area assured between the end of the partition management information area and the head of the partition area is set to a state where data is physically erased.

摘要: A blood sugar analyzing apparatus has a reaction cell which houses a fixed enzyme membrane sensor and a measuring electrode which receives a blood specimen which causes a chemical reaction between the blood specimen and said fixed enzyme membrane for measuring the blood sugar concentration in the specimen on the basis of a reaction current signal generated in the sensor by the chemical reaction. The analyzing apparatus has a microcomputer for calculating a conversion coefficient used for converting the reaction current into a blood sugar concentration value by introducing a standard solution having a known blood sugar concentration, for storing data representing the value of said conversion coefficient, for calculating a blood sugar concentration value of a test specimen based upon the stored conversion coefficient value and reaction current from the test specimen. A display and printer provide a read-out of the blood sugar concentration value obtained. The microcomputer controls temperature and timing of the measurement process, as well as other control functions.

The arithmetic code amount approximating circuit (200) includes a selector (230) for dividing the binary symbol sequence into a plurality of groups based on the contexts, a plurality of code amount approximating circuits (211-214) for calculating, from the binary symbol sequence divided into a plurality of groups, the prediction code amount of the group based on at least the section range in arithmetic coding, and an adder (231) for adding the prediction code amounts from all code amount approximating circuits and outputting the prediction code amount in the specified coding unit.
