摘要: An exhaust gas purification filter that is suitable for arrangement in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine and for collecting particulate matter contained in exhaust gas, comprises: exhaust gas inflow passages and exhaust gas outflow passages that are arranged alternately; and porous partitions that separate the exhaust gas inflow passages and the exhaust gas outflow passages from each other. Each of the partitions is divided into a coated zone in which a surface of a partition base is coated with a coating layer having a smaller average pore diameter than an average pore diameter of the partition base and a non-coated zone that is located on a downstream side of the coated zone and in which a surface of the partition base is not coated with the coating layer. A pore diameter of the partitions is set such that ash contained in the exhaust gas is able to pass through the partitions in the non-coated zone. A passage resistance of a partition portion located in the coated zone, the passage resistance being in a thickness direction of the partition portion located in the coated zone, is lower than a passage resistance of a partition portion located in the non-coated zone, the passage resistance being in a thickness direction of the partition portion located in the non-coated zone.

摘要: An exhaust cleaning filter for collecting particulate matter contained in exhaust gas and suitable for being disposed in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine is provided with: an exhaust gas inflow passage and an exhaust gas outflow passage disposed in alternating fashion; and a porous partition wall for setting the exhaust gas inflow passage and the exhaust gas outflow passage at a distance from each other. A small pore region is sectioned off on the upstream side of the partition wall and a large pore region is sectioned off on the downstream side of the partition wall. The average pore diameter of the partition wall in the large pore region is set to be greater than the average pore diameter of the partition wall in the small pore region, and is set so that ash contained in the exhaust gas is able to pass through the partition wall. The exhaust purification filter is provided with a promoting member for promoting the passing of exhaust gas that has flowed into the exhaust gas inflow passage, through the partition wall in the small pore region, and promoting inflow into the exhaust gas outflow passage.

摘要: In order to suppress ammonia from flowing out during regeneration treatment of a filter carrying an SCR catalyst, the prevent invention provides an exhaust emission control system, of an internal combustion engine, including a first stage catalyst having an oxidation function, a fuel supply device configured to supply fuel to the first stage catalyst, a filter provided in the exhaust passage downstream of the first stage catalyst and carrying a selective redaction type NOx catalyst, an ammonia supply device configured to supply ammonia to the filter, a filter-regeneration-treatment executing unit configured to execute filter regeneration treatment, and a control unit configured to supply, when the filter regeneration treatment is not executed, the ammonia in an amount corresponding to an amount of the NOx emitted from the internal combustion engine, and to supply, when the filter regeneration treatment is executed, the ammonia in an amount corresponding to an amount of the NOx obtained by subtracting, from the amount of the NOx emitted from the internal combustion engine, an amount of the NOx reduced by the fuel which passes through the first stage catalyst.

摘要: In an exhaust gas purification system for an internal combustion engine provided with a filter supporting an SCR catalyst, the present invention is intended to suppress HC and CO from being discharged to the outside at the time of the execution of filter regeneration processing, and to carry out the filter regeneration processing in an efficient manner. In the present invention, a post-catalyst having an oxidation function is arranged in an exhaust passage at the downstream side of the filter. Then, when the temperature of the post-catalyst is lower than a predetermined activation temperature at the time the execution of the filter regeneration processing is requested, the temperature of the post-catalyst is raised by carrying out control of raising the temperature of the exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine, and control increasing the flow rate of the exhaust gas, before the execution of the filter regeneration processing.

摘要: In the case where a low-pressure-side supercharging pressure acquired value corresponding to the pressure of inlet gas at the outlet of a low-pressure compressor operated in a twin supercharging mode is less than a target supercharging pressure in a single supercharging mode, changeover from the twin supercharging mode to the single supercharging mode is prohibited. Meanwhile, in the case where the low-pressure-side supercharging pressure acquired value is equal to or greater than the target supercharging pressure, the changeover from the twin supercharging mode to the single supercharging mode is permitted. Alternatively, in the case where a supercharging pressure during operation in the single supercharging mode is less than a target value of the pressure of supply gas at the outlet of the low-pressure compressor in the twin supercharging mode, changeover from the single supercharging mode to the twin supercharging mode is prohibited. Meanwhile, in the case where the supercharging pressure is equal to or greater than the target value, the changeover from the single supercharging mode to the twin supercharging mode is permitted.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to suppress a reduction in a NOx purification ratio accompanying filter regeneration processing in an exhaust gas purification system for an internal combustion engine that includes a filter carrying an SCR catalyst. In the present invention, the temperature of the filter is increased following completion of the filter regeneration processing by increasing the temperature of exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine, and in so doing, HC adhered to the filter is removed.
