    摘要: The invention relates to a quantity control valve for a fuel injection system, used in internal combustion engines, which includes a longitudinal slide that is movable in a valve housing between a first and a second control chamber and that allocates the fuel, flowing in from at least one low-pressure pump, to at least one high-pressure pump. For driving the longitudinal slide, the inflowing fuel is delivered into the first control chamber via a throttle or baffle valve, past the longitudinal slide. In the second control chamber, there is either a restoring spring that urges the longitudinal slide in the direction of its closing position, or the longitudinal slide there has an effective face-end surface area upstream of which a control line containing a throttle valve ends; this end face is smaller in surface area than the effective surface area of the face end in the first control chamber. In the closing position, the longitudinal slide blocks off the outlet bore with one of its cylindrical guide portions, while with regard to the inlet bore it has a narrowed region, which opposite the longitudinal slide bore leaves a flow cross section open that changes gradually to zero in the direction of the guide portion. In the valve, the flow of fuel is controlled by a targeted manipulation of a cross section via a long slide stroke.

    摘要: The injection pump includes a pump cylinder, a pump piston moving into it and a hydraulic device for adjusting the instant of injection. The adjusting device has an adjusting cylinder, which is directed parallel to the pump cylinder and is accommodated in the housing of the injection pump, and adjusting piston and a restoring spring and adjusts a control sleeve, which opens the pump piston provided with at least one control recess in the longitudinal direction of the pump piston. According to the invention, a valve piston of a control valve is provided with low pressure on both faces thereof.     摘要: A new approach to objective quality assessment of DCT-coded video sequences, with or without a reference is proposed. The system is comprised of a proprietary segmentation algorithm, a feature extraction process and a nonlinear feed-forward-type neural network for feature analysis. The methods mimic function of the human visual system (HVS): A neural network training algorithm is used for determining the optimal network weights and biases for both system modes of operation. The proposed method allows for assessment of DCT-coded video sequences without the original source being available (pseudo-reference mode). The pseudo-reference mode is also comprised of a proprietary DCT-coded video (MPEG) noise reducer (MNR), co-pending patent application no. 60/592,143.

    摘要: A fuel injection apparatus which the termination of the effective pump supply stroke is effected by exposing a relief conduit with the aid of a valve having for instance a control edge, whereupon a highly pressurized fuel flows out via the relief conduit and is directed into a pressure chamber defined by a rear face of a pressure valve closing member. The pressure valve closing member is located in a connection with a fuel injection line that leads from the pump work chamber to the fuel injection valve and is acted upon by a valve spring to effect closing of this injection line. The impact of fuel that reaches the pressure chamber via the releif conduit reinforces a fast closure of the pressure valve closing member at the end of injection, which leads to an abrupt termination of an injection cycle. In addition, or altenatively, the fuel injection valve closing member can also be acted upon by the impact of fuel diversion.
