    Abstract: The application provides a network device, which includes: a main control board and a service board, where the main control board includes a processor and a switching chip, and the service board includes a physical layer component. The switching chip is connected to the physical layer component by using a system bus. The system bus consists of a SerDes link, and is configured to transmit service data and control information of a port of the physical layer component. The processor controls the port of the physical layer component by using the control information of the port of the physical layer component. The network device transmits the service data and the control information by using the system bus, so that the service board does not need to set a CPU processing the control information, thereby expanding an interface flexibly, and reducing device complexity and hardware costs.

    Abstract: A port auto-negotiation method and a device used for implementing port auto-negotiation between high-speed Ethernet devices are provided. The method performed by a first device includes: configuring a first port of the first device as four subports, where each of the four subports includes a differential transceiver channel; determining from the four subports, at least one subport whose differential transceiver channel operates normally, and selecting some or all of the at least one subport as a normal subport; sending capability information of the first port to a second device by using the normal subport, and receiving, by using the normal subport, capability information of a second port of the second device; and determining operating statuses of the four subports based on the capability information of the first port and of the second port.

According to the method, a problem involving configuration of a high-speed serial bus parameter when a transmitted signal is compensated may be solved.

    Abstract: An apparatus for implementing low power consumption for data switching device includes a dormancy management module that controls an upper layer logic component in a device to enter a low power consumption state when a current state parameter of the device satisfies a preset dormancy configurationcondition; detects whether an energy consumption state of a transmission medium is active; and wakes up the upper layer logic component in the device to enter a normal working state if the energy consumption state of the transmission medium is active. When a preset condition is satisfied, upper layer logic components such as a CPU, a network processor and an optical module in the device, properly stop full-time operation to save energy.

    Abstract: A digital signal input circuit including an isolating circuit and a voltage determining circuit is presented, where a first port of an input end of the isolating circuit receives a digital signal, an output end of the isolating circuit outputs the digital signal, and when the isolating circuit is open, the isolating circuit is configured to output a first level, or when the isolating circuit is closed, the isolating circuit is configured to output a second level; and the voltage determining circuit is configured to determine, according to a level of the digital signal, whether the isolating circuit is open or closed. According to the digital signal input circuit, the voltage determining circuit determines a level of a digital signal, thereby correctness of digital signal level conversion is increased.
