    摘要: A maleimide-based copolymer containing maleimide monomer units (a-1), aromatic vinyl monomer units (a-2) and other vinyl monomer units (a-3), wherein,(I) the content of residual maleimide monomer in the copolymer is 0.1% by weight or less, and the content of whole volatiles other than the maleimide monomer is 0.5% by weight or less;(II) a compound obtained from at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of a maleimide monomer, an aromatic vinyl monomer and other vinyl monomers, having a weight-average molecular weight of from 200 to 1,000, is contained in an amount of 2 to 10% by weight;(III) the copolymer has a yellow index of 30 or less; and(IV) the copolymer has an intrinsic viscosity of from 0.3 to 1.5. Maleimide-based resin composition comprising the above maleimide-based copolymer (A) and a rubber-based graft polymer (B) obtained by polymerizing at least one vinyl monomer selected from the group consisting of an aromatic vinyl monomer, an acrylic or methacrylic ester monomer and a derivative thereof and a vinyl cyanide monomer in the presence of 5 to 80% by weight of a rubber-like polymer.

    摘要: A process for the production of polyester comprising at least 80% of an ethylene terephthalate repeating unit using as a starting material an ester compound made mainly of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol or an oligomer thereof is disclosed. This process is characterized in that a prepolymer having an intrinsic viscosity of not more than 0.4 dl/g and a carboxyl terminal group concentration [COOH] of not more than 90.times.[.eta.].sup.-0.4 .mu.eq/g is fed to a final polymerization unit and polymerized in the form of a molten thin film having a thickness of from 0.005 to 0.15 mm.

    摘要: Reinforced resin compositions exhibiting excellent heat resistance and appearance, and containing by weight: (a) at least 30% of a polyethylene terephthalate-type resin, (b) 5 to 60% glass fiber, (c) 0.03 to 5% of one or more salts of organic carboxylic acids with metals of the Groups Ia and IIa of the Periodic Table, and (d) 0.1 to 20% of a sorbitan derivative are disclosed. Optionally liquid or solid paraffin or polyethylene wax is incorporated in an amount of 0.3 to 5% based on the total composition may be incorporated if a white article is desired.Molded articles prepared from these compositions, high in heat resistance and uniform appearance, even if the thickness of the molded article is small or uneven or the molding operation is carried out at a relatively low mold temperature, are also disclosed. Molding temperature dependence and thickness dependence on the heat distortion temperature of the molded article are remarkably improved as well.

    摘要: Disclosed is a polyester composition obtained by blending, with a polyester comprising at least 80% by mole of ethylene terephthalate units, (1) an epoxy compound (A) having an isocyanuric acid ester construction or a cyanuric acid ester construction and at least one organic compound (B) capable of reacting with the epoxy group of said epoxy compound (A) and having one or more carboxyl, amino, isocyanate or hydroxyl groups or (2) a product of a melt reaction of said epoxy compound (A) with said organic compound (B), and then melt mixing and milling the blend. The polyester composition may comprise a fibrous filler and glass flakes, and has a high moldability and excellent physical properties.
