Abstract: A display unit includes a flexible substrate, a thin film transistor layer, a display element layer, an electrically conductive member, and a protective member. The flexible substrate includes a first surface and a second surface that face each other. The thin film transistor layer is provided over the first surface of the flexible substrate. The display element layer includes a light-emitting layer, and is provided over the first surface of the flexible substrate, with the thin film transistor layer interposed between the display element and the flexible substrate. The electrically conductive member is provided to be in contact with the second surface of the flexible substrate. The protective member faces the second surface of the flexible substrate, with the electrically conductive member interposed between the protective member and the flexible substrate.

Abstract: A light-emitting display device includes an element-formation substrate and a plurality of pixels. The element-formation substrate includes a first barrier film and a second barrier film provided on a substrate, the first barrier film and the second barrier film being provided in the stated order from the substrate and suppressing ingress of moisture. The plurality of pixels is provided on the element-formation substrate. The element-formation substrate further includes an organic part that fills a crack occurred in the first barrier film, or that is attached around a part of a metallic foreign substance protruding from the first barrier film.

Abstract: A display panel according to one embodiment of the disclosure includes: a flexible substrate; a plurality of self-luminescent elements; a plurality of TFT circuits provided between the flexible substrate and the plurality of self-luminescent elements; a first inorganic film covering each of the TFT circuits; a second inorganic film covering each of the self-luminescent elements; and a resin layer covering the second inorganic film and covering at least a portion of the first inorganic film in contact with an end portion of the second inorganic film. The first inorganic film is provided between the plurality of TFT circuits and the plurality of self-luminescent elements, and has a step portion. The step portion is a thinned portion of the first inorganic film opposed to an end portion of the flexible substrate.

Abstract: A display panel includes a flexible substrate. The flexible substrate includes a display region and a peripheral region. A plurality of self-luminescent elements is on a first main face of the display region of the flexible substrate. A plurality of thin film transistor (TFT) circuits is between the first main face and the self-luminescent elements. The TFT circuits drive the self-luminescent elements. A first inorganic film is between the TFT circuits and the self-luminescent elements, and includes a step portion which is a thinned portion of the first inorganic film disposed in the peripheral region of the flexible substrate. A second inorganic film covers the self-luminescent elements. A resin layer overlaps the second inorganic film and overlaps at least a portion of the first inorganic film in contact with an end portion of the second inorganic film.
