Abstract:
Metallic tube, pipe and conduit are made in a continuous process that includes a zinc galvanization stage, a first passivation stage, a second passivation stage and a third passivation stage. A colorant is added to the tube, pipe or conduit during the continuous manufacturing process, and the colorant imparts the appearance of a color, such as red. The continuous movement of the tube, pipe or conduit is not halted during normal operation of the tube, pipe or conduit manufacturing and coloring process.
Abstract:
A network-based system that provides functionality for controlling the content of printed menus includes an electronic data repository and a web-based application program. The electronic data repository contains descriptions of content items that may be selected to include within printed items. The electronic data repository also contains a set of rules that specify, at least, specific content items that are required. The web-based application program allows a user to interactively create a printed item that includes selected content item descriptions from the data repository, and to place an order for printed copies of a created printed item. The web-based application inhibits the creation of printed items that do not comply with the set of rules.

Abstract:
In one embodiment, a processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions that when executed cause a processor to receive a first signal at a mobile device, the first signal including a mobile instant message having inline image data, the inline image data defining an image. The processor-readable medium stores code further representing instructions that when executed cause the processor to receive an edit command associated with the image and send a second signal, the second signal including a mobile instant message having a directive based at least in part on the edit command.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a roller for slidably mounting a panel such as a shower door to a rail or to a similar structure. The roller comprises a first cylindrical portion including a rolling surface for engaging the rail and a second cylindrical portion fixedly securable to the shower door panel. The second portion is concentrically mounted to the first portion and is rotatable relative thereto. A resilient member such as a tension spring connects the first portion to the second portion and stores a potential energy when a user moves the shower door in one direction and automatically urges the shower door to move in the opposite direction when released by the user. The invention also relates to a roller assembly comprising a roller and a rail.
Abstract:
As humans age, there is a general loss of accommodation, termed presbyopia, which eventually leaves the eye unable to focus on near objects. This loss in ability to focus on near objects is a consequence of continued growth of the lens and crowding of the lens, zonules and ciliary body within the posterior chamber. Expansion of the posterior chamber is achieved by placing radial incisions in the sclera over the ciliary body. The method of correcting presbyopia according to the present invention is by making permanent the expansion of the sclera produced by incisions made in the sclera over the ciliary muscle by means of tissue barriers placed in the incisions, preventing contraction of the incision, and acting as a retainer of the increased circumference. With expansion of the posterior chamber, the effective working distance between the lens and ciliary muscle is restored and presbyopia reversed. The tissue barriers of the present invention are solid bars containing pre-placed integral sutures for fixation.
Abstract:
A method and kit to produce activated autologous platelet rich and platelet poor plasma (AAPRPP) and methods of use to treat pain. The method to produce AAPRPP generally comprising (1) obtaining whole blood from patient; (2) centrifuging whole blood in a collection tube; (3) extracting platelet rich and platelet poor plasma mixture from collection tube; and (4) transferring platelet rich and platelet poor plasma mixture to an activation tube containing at least one platelet aggregator and at least one platelet activator to obtain a resulting platelet concentration. The method to treat pain generally comprising producing AAPRPP and extracting contents of activation tube into a standard syringe then injecting AAPRPP at or near the nerve group responsible for the affected anatomical area.

Primary open angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension can be treated by increasing the effective working range of the ciliary muscle according to the invention.
