    摘要: In accordance with various aspects of the disclosure, devices and methods are disclosed that include measuring, at a transmitter, a reflected power level corresponding to a specific transmit power level, and setting the transmit power to an operational level. At the transmitter, a new operational level of the transmit power may be determined, for example, by selecting at least one trial transmit power level, and based on reflected power levels measured corresponding to the operational level and the at least one trial level of the transmit power, either maintaining the operational level as the new operational level, or determining the at least one trial level as the new operational level. The operational transmit power level may correspond to a lowest reflected power level, or a highest rate of change of the reflected power level with respect to the transmit power level.

    摘要: A frame that is inserted into a gate valve slot which accesses a channel through which fluid flows so an ultrasonic flowmeter can measure the fluid flow through the channel. The frame includes a first arm axle that fits into the slot. The frame includes a first ultrasonic transducer in communication with the flowmeter that is attached to the first arm axle. The frame includes a second ultrasonic transducer in communication with the flowmeter. The second transducer is aligned with and upstream from the first transducer relative to the fluid flow and between which ultrasonic signals are emitted and received through the fluid flow and which the flowmeter uses to determine the fluid flow through the channel. The apparatus for measuring fluid flow in a channel is accessed through a gate slot. A method for measuring fluid flow in a channel that is accessed through a gate slot.

    摘要: A direct beam solar lighting system for collecting and distributing sunlight into a room. The system includes a rotatable solar collector head to receive sunlight and to reflect the sunlight downward into a transition tube having a reflective interior surface. The light-concentrating transition tube reflects sunlight into a reflective light tube which directs the reflected sunlight through a plenum space into the room. The system includes a drive mechanism for rotating the rotatable solar collector, and a light fixture at end of the light tube to disburse said reflected sunlight onto a ceiling and a wall in the room. In an embodiment the system includes one or more homogenizing reflectors within the solar collector for collecting the sunlight and directing the sunlight more uniformly over the aperture of the transition tube. In an alternative embodiment, the solar collector includes a rotatable tiltable mirror for providing two-axis tracking.
