    摘要: An overload protection and/or warning arragement for a vehicle brake which is activated by brake pressure so that overload protection and warning indication occurs essentially without any time-delay.In one embodiment of the invention, it is proposed to compare, by means of a comparison apparatus, a design brake pressure P(design) determined on the basis of a regulated variable imparted to an activation apparatus of the vehicle brake and of operating data of the vehicle and/or of the design data of the brakes and of the brake application apparatus with the actual brake pressure P(actual), and to initiate a warning signal if P(actual) differs by a specified amount from P(design).In another embodiment of the invention, it is proposed that the warning signal be initiated if the actual brake pressure produced by the existing brake pressure differs by a specified amount from a design brake force which is determined from the brake pressure and the design data of the brake and the brake-actuating apparatus.

    摘要: A known brake circuit comprises a mechanical brake-pressure control device and an electrical brake-pressure control device. The mechanical brake-pressure control device is furnished for assuring an emergency operation in case of a fault of the normally predominance-taking electrical brake-pressure control device. The known brake circuit can be controlled only then in a load-dependent way, when both the mechanical as well as the electrical brake-pressure control unit comprise a load-dependent automatic brake-pressure controller. According to the invention, a restraining device (103 3, 5) is furnished in the mechanical brake-prerssure control device (103 3, 5). The restraining device (3) allows for passage of the brake pressure, set in the mechanical brake-pressure control device (103 3, 5), only in case of a fault in the electrical brake-pressure control device (106 6, 9, 12, 13). The electrical brake-pressure control device (106 6, 9, 12, 13) is thereby accessible to a load-dependent automatic brake-pressure control without the requirement of a load dependent automatic brake-pressure controller in the mechanical brake-pressure control device (103 3, 5).

    摘要: A method for the surveillance of a brake device includes an indirect measurement of temperature of a selected device component, for example a brake drum, of a brake device. A warning signal is furnished, if this measured temperature reaches a maximum permissible value. The invention method is quick by employing the pressure-dependent deformation characterizing curve (11) of the device component heated to the permissible temperature. The device component represented by the brake drum (1) can heat to the maximum permissible temperature and is placed under surveillance during a brake actuation based on deformation and pressure measurement. It is then determined if the actual values reach or exceed the deformation characterizing curve (11). The invention apparatus is used in connection with brake devices in vehicles.

The brake-pressure modulator (8) meters the brake pressure, both on the strength of the supplied electrical signal as well as according to the value level of the fed-in redundant brake pressure. The control electronics (11, 19) of the electrical brake-pressure control device (6, 8, 11, 19) is constructed such that it sets the strength of the electrical signal to a value required for covering and for meeting the respective brake-pressure demand request.     摘要: An overload warning system for a trailer brake cylinder of a trailer brake system having a nominal deceleration rate. It has been found that previous temperature sensing overdue warning systems have a disadvantage that undue delay occurs and that no warning signal is initiated until after damage to the trailer brakes occurs. The present invention proposes that the tractor brake system and the trailer brake system compare their received operating control signals from which they form a ratio factor and then produce a warning signal when the ratio factor changes beyond a predetermined critical change velocity. The present invention employs the rapid drop in braking force caused by a brake overload and uses the rapid drop and increase brake demand for readjusting the brake deceleration. The present invention is used for uniquely recognizing the "Fading" effect of the trailer brake system.
