摘要： A power striker assembly effects final positioning of a vehicle closure member and includes a fixed frame and a striker member carried on a striker plate for selective engagement of a latch carried on the closure member, to displace the closure member from a presented position to a cinched position. Guide means interconnects the frame and striker plate to effect simultaneous translational and rotational displacement of the striker plate between end limits of travel to produce linear displacement of the striker member. An actuator selectively displaces the striker plate between its end limits of travel in response to a control signal. Finally, an interlock fixes the striker plate in the cinched position in the absence of the control signal.

摘要： A vehicle door latch is provided having unlock latched and unlatched positions, the door latch having at least one locking/unlocking actuator for moving the latch between locked latched and unlocked latched positions, and the door latch having a freewheeling transfer lever operatively connected to at least one release handle, the transfer lever being provided for moving the door latch to the unlatched position. The door latch has a feature to allow the locking/unlocking actuator to move the latch from the locked latched position to the unlocked latched position while the door release handle is previously or simultaneously actuated, by subsequent release of the door release handle without reactivation of the locking/unlocking actuator.

摘要： A power operating system for opening and closing a vehicle liftgate has a pair of drive units supported on the vehicle roof and connected to the liftgate for opening and closing the liftgate. Each drive unit includes a bracket that is secured to the vehicle body for supporting several parts including a reversible electric motor, a gear unit and a housing having a forward linear track and a contiguous rearward curved track. The electric motor drives a segmented drive linkage disposed in the housing via the gear unit. The segmented drive linkage includes an elongated arcuate link that is guided by the rearward curved track, a linear rack link that is guided by the forward linear track, and an intermediate link that has an outer end that is pivotally attached to an inner end of the arcuate link and an inner end that is pivotally attached to a midpoint of the linear rack link. The outboard end of the arcuate link is pivotally connected to the liftgate to open and close the liftgate as the arcuate link is extended and retracted by the linear rack link being driven by the electric motor.

The present double lock assembly (34) is disposed between the latch handle assembly (30) and the latching assembly (26). In the un-double locked configuration, the double lock (34) allows motion transfer from the latch handle assembly (30) to the latching assembly (26) by extending the secondary intermittent member (36). In the double locked configuration, the double lock (34) retracts the secondary intermittent member (36) to prevent motion transfer between the latch handle assembly (30) and the latching assembly (26), preventing any unlatching of the door (12) even if the lock assembly (32) is in the unlocked configuration.

The electric motor drives a segmented drive linkage inside the track via a gear reduction unit and a sprocket. The segmented drive linkage includes an elongated arcuate link arm that slides in an arcuate track portion of the track and a power roller chain that is stored in a storage track portion when the liftgate is closed. The outboard end of the link arm is pivotally connected to the liftgate to open and close the liftgate as the link arm is extended and retracted by the power roller chain.

摘要： A hard tonneau cover is pivotally attached to each side wall of a truck cargo box having a tail gate by a hinge assembly. Each hinge assembly includes a four bar linkage and a drive mechanism. The four bar linkage consists of a tonneau bracket that is secured to the tonneau cover, a mounting bracket, a hinge link that is pivotally attached to the tonneau bracket at one end by a first pivot and to the mounting bracket at an opposite end by a second pivot, and a control link that is pivotally attached to the tonneau bracket at one end by a third pivot and to the mounting bracket at an opposite end by a fourth pivot. The drive mechanism has a pivot arm that is pivotally attached to the mounting bracket by a fifth pivot, and a drive arm that is pivotally attached to the pivot arm by a sixth pivot and pivotally attached to the tonneau bracket by a seventh pivot so that the tonneau cover and bracket are moved between a closed position and an open position by rotation of the pivot arm. A gas spring that is attached to the mounting bracket and to the pivot arm biases the tonneau cover and tonneau bracket to the closed position. The tonneau cover is opened and closed by an electric motor and an electromagnetic clutch that are supported by the mounting bracket. The electromagnetic clutch has an input member that is driven by the electric motor and an output member that drives a pinion gear. The pinion gear in turn drives a sector gear that is attached to the pivot arm.

An arcuate track that is fixed to the vehicle body, and an arcuate link slides in the arcuate track. The arcuate link has an inboard end that is pivotally connected to an end of the rack and an outboard end that is pivotally connected to the liftgate.

摘要： A vehicle closure latch is provided which includes an actuator with a first wheel selectively reversibly powered to rotate along a first axis; a second wheel coaxial with the first wheel, the second wheel having a first face directed toward the first wheel; at least one arcuate slot formed on one of the wheels with a center of rotation generally co-terminus with the first axis, the slot having first and second ends spaced from one another and a pin connected on the other wheel that the arcuate slot is formed on, the pin being captured by the slot between the ends of the slot and being able to move therebetween; the second wheel further including a cam profile on a second face opposite the first face, the cam profile encapturing the stud of a manually operated locking lever, wherein rotation of the second wheel in a first circular direction will cause the manually operated locking lever to pivot moving the locking lever to the locking position and rotational movement of the second wheel in a second circular direction opposite the first circular direction will cause the manually operated locking to pivot moving the locking lever to the unlocked position, and wherein the manually operated locking lever can be moved between the locked and unlocked positions, without any substantial movement of the first wheel.
