摘要: An interconnect scheme includes a conductive ink forming a plurality of conductive regions, and a dielectric ink occupying spaces between the conductive regions. The conductive ink and the dielectric ink have substantially identical optical, acoustic, and x-ray absorption properties, thereby making the interconnect scheme tamper-resistant and/or difficult to identify and reverse-engineer using conventional detection methods.

摘要: An implantable bio-compatible integrated circuit device and methods for manufacture thereof are disclosed herein. The device includes a substrate having a recess. An input/output device including at least one bio-compatible electrical contact is coupled to the substrate in the recess. A layer of hermetic bio-compatible, hermetic insulator material is deposited on a portion of the input/output device. An encapsulating layer of bio-compatible material encapsulates at least a portion of the implantable device, including the input/output device. At least one bio-compatible electrical contact of the input/output device is then exposed. The encapsulating layer and the layer of bio-compatible, hermetic insulator material form a hermetic seal around the at least one exposed bio-compatible electrical contact.

摘要: An object moving through a fluid uses plasma to keep turbulent mixing vortices associated with turbulent air away from the majority of the surface of the object. The plasma may be used to enhance physical riblets, or the plasma may create a virtual riblet.

摘要: A vortex generation device for reducing drag on an upswept aircraft fuselage afterbody and including a vortex generator vane that extends longitudinally from along an outer mold line of the fuselage of an aircraft adjacent an upswept afterbody of the fuselage and that is configured and positioned to reduce drag on an upswept aircraft fuselage afterbody by developing vortices that counteract vortices generated along such an upswept fuselage afterbody. The vane is disposed aft of a side paratrooper jump door of the aircraft fuselage and has a spine and leading end that are faired smoothly into the mold line of the fuselage.

摘要: The present invention provides a system and method for actively manipulating fluid flow over a surface using synthetic pulsators. Synthetic pulsators produce pulsed jet operable to manipulate the primary fluid flow proximate to the synthetic pulsator. The synthetic pulsator includes a synthetic jet actuator(s) located within an ambient pressure chamber, wherein the synthetic jet actuator is operable to produce an oscillatory flow. The oscillatory flow of the synthetic jet(s) produces the pulsed jet operable to manipulate the primary fluid flow. These synthetic pulsators may then be actively manipulated to control the flow behavior of the ducted fluid flow, influence the inception point and trajectory of flow field vortices within the fluid flow, and reduce flow separation within the primary fluid flow.

摘要: A method for managing data packets passing through an Ethernet node having multiple ingress ports and multiple egress ports, the ingress ports receiving the data packets from at least one service, and the egress ports configured with at least one Logical Transport Resource (LTR) configured as a predefined path between one of the egress ports and a destination in the Ethernet network. The method comprises mapping one or more of the services to each of the at least one LTR, shaping each of the at least one LTR to a configured rate, and transmitting data packets to the Ethernet network via the egress ports.
