    摘要: A method and apparatus for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium at high efficiency. A flexible web is passed around first and second cooling cans. The web is reversed between the two cans so that the same surface of the web is directed to the outside on both cans. A single evaporation source produces an evaporated stream of magnetic film forming material which impinges on the web as it passes around both cans, thereby to form two films of the evaporated magnetic material on the same surface of the web.

    摘要: A plural-cathode sputtering apparatus capable of producing mixed thin films having a period of stratification as small as 10 .ANG. without putting an undue load on the power supplies. Two different types of targets are provided on a cathode side, and a substrate onto which sputtering is performed is provided on the anode side. Magnetic field generators produce magnetic fields substantially perpendicularly intersecting the electric fields generated between the plate and the targets near and front sides of the targets. The magnetic field generators are each composed of main magnets and electromagnets, which may be combined with the main magnets. Electrical currents are produced for exciting the electromagnets which are controlled in such a manner as to change the magnetic intensity of the magnetic fields and to thereby regulate the sputtering discharge.

    摘要: An auto leveling apparatus which drives a motor only in case that a posture that has changed during stoppage becomes stable and the stable posture is different from the posture controlled at the last time thereby to reduce the number of operations of the motor. In an auto leveling apparatus of vehicle headlamp including a headlamp of which a light axis tilts up and down in relation to a car body by drive of a motor, a control unit for controlling the drive of the motor, a speed sensor for detecting speed, a pitch angle sensor for detecting pitch angle, and a memory for storing the pitch angle data detected by the pitch angle sensor, in which the control unit controls the drive of the motor, on the basis of the pitch angle data detected by the pitch angle sensor, so that the light axis of the headlamp has the constant inclination in relation to a road surface, the control unit controls the drive of the motor only in case that a posture (pitch angle data) that has changed once during stoppage becomes stable and the difference between its posture and a reference posture (reference pitch angle data) exceeds the predetermined value. Therefore, according to reduction of the number of operations of the motor, durability of the motor itself is improved.

    摘要: An automatic automobile headlamp leveling device is provided for a headlamp which is driven by an actuator so that a light axis of the headlamp can be tilted up or down relative to a vehicle body. A vehicle speed detection sensor is provided for detecting the vehicle speed, a pitch angle detection sensor is provided for detecting a pitch angle of the vehicle, a storage section is provided for storing a plurality of pitch angle data of the vehicle detected by the pitch angle detection sensor, and a control section is provided for controlling the driving of the actuators. The control section controls the driving of the actuators based on the pitch angle data so that the light axes of the headlamps always stay in a certain tilted state relative to the surface of a road. The storage section is constructed so as to store a plurality of data ranging from latest pitch angle data to pitch angle data detected a predetermined time period prior to the latest data, and the control section controls the driving of the actuator at certain intervals based when the vehicle is at a stop, and when the vehicle is starting, it controls the driving of the actuators based on pitch angle data detected immediately prior to the start of the vehicle by the vehicle speed sensor.

A trigger electrode, which is composed of a transparent conductive film, is formed on a surface of the glass tube so that the light-transmissive sealed tube-coating ratio specified by the transparent conductive film is within a range of 5 to 30%.
