摘要: A mold is provided, at an outer circumferential region thereof, with portions to be gripped, to allow a transfer apparatus to perform transferring to an object. The portions to be gripped are formed in a different shape from the remaining portion of the outer circumferential region. For a mold set including two molds, each of the molds is provided, at an outer circumferential region thereof, with portions to be gripped, to allow the transfer apparatus to perform transferring to the object. The portions to be gripped are formed in a different shape from the remaining portion of the outer circumferential region. The portions to be gripped of one of the molds and the portions to be gripped of the other mold are disposed at different angular positions.

摘要: A magnetic disc has a data area including a magnetic data zone and nonmagnetic portions for physically separating the magnetic data zone, and also has a servo area provided with a magnetic pattern made up of magnetic portions and nonmagnetic portions. The servo area includes a belt-like area elongated in a radial direction of the magnetic disc and having a circumferential length at least twice as long as a unit length readable by a magnetic head in a circumferential direction of the magnetic disc. The belt-like area is provided with magnetic regions and nonmagnetic regions alternating with each other in the radial direction of the disc, where each of the magnetic and nonmagnetic regions extends from the first end to the second end of the belt-like area that are spaced from each other in the circumferential direction of the disc.

摘要: A first mold having an uneven pattern formed thereon and a second mold having an uneven pattern formed thereon are fixed in a state in which reference positions of the first mold and the second mold are aligned with the center axis of support means. An object to which transfer is to be performed is made supported by the support means, and the first mold is made move toward the second mold in a state in which a reference position of the object is aligned with the center axis of the support means so that the first mold is pressed to a first surface of the object and, at the same time, the second mold is pressed to a second surface of the object.

摘要: A deformable sensor system that can be used for pressure-distribution sensors. The deformable sensor system makes it possible to obtain a pressure distribution with a much higher accuracy, while reducing the number of electrodes. The system utilizes a deformable sensor which can detect deformation as the electric resistivity of the surface increases monotonically as an elastic deformation variation in each of the elastic deformations increases. Based on a voltage being detected by means of a detecting unit, the deformable sensor electric-resistivity variation computing unit computes the variation of the electric resistivity based on the method of least squares with a restriction condition imposed thereon. The system uses such a technology as “EIT” that is based on an inverse-problem theory. At an external-force position computing unit, a position in a pressure-receiving surface, position which receives an external force, is computed based on the computed electric-resistivity variation.

摘要: A capacitive sensor includes a dielectric layer made of an elastomer and a pair of electrodes arranged via the dielectric layer, and detects deformation on the basis of electrostatic capacity variation between the pair of electrodes. The pair of electrodes contain an elastomer and conductive fillers filled into the elastomer, are expandable and contractible in accordance with deformation of the dielectric layer, and exhibit little conductivity variation even when the pair of electrodes expand and contract. At least one of the dielectric layer and the electrodes is formed by a printing method using a dielectric layer coating containing a formation component of the dielectric layer or an electrode coating containing a formation component of the electrode.

摘要: A high damping material composition useful as a vibration damper and an acoustic insulating material such as a sound insulating wall for an acoustic room, a sound insulating partition for a construction structure and a soundproofing wall for a vehicle. The high damping material composition of the present invention containing the following components (A) and (B); (A) a polymer having in the molecular chain thereof a chemical structural unit derived from the following (a); (a) at least one selected from the group consisting of an acrylic monomer, a methacrylic monomer, an ethylene-acrylic copolymer, an ethylene-methacrylic copolymer and vinyl acetate; (B) at least one damping property imparting agent selected from the group consisting of a hindered phenol compound, a phosphite ester compound, a phosphate ester compound, a basic compound containing nitrogen and a hindered amine compound. The combined use of the component (A) and (B) makes an interaction therebetween homogeneous and appropriate, so that the component (B) is homogeneously dispersed in the component (A), resulting in exhibition of a high tan &dgr;. Moreover, the homogeneous dispersion can be maintained for a long period thereby to prevent a declined of tan &dgr; with time. The compositions have a tan &dgr; peak temperature of approximately room temperature, which makes the compositions suitable for use in a room temperature atmosphere.
