摘要: A modular shelving unit includes at least three upright posts spaced apart from each other for supporting a shelf between them. At least one of the at least three posts includes at least two tubular members and at least one interconnecting member for detachably interconnecting adjacent, tubular members via attaching means. The at least two tubular members each have opposite edges and an inner circumferential wall defining annular inclined surfaces. The annular inclined surfaces are radially and outwardly inclined, as they advance to adjacent edges of the opposite edges. The interconnecting member has an outer circumferential wall with opposite end portions and a flange-like stopper radially and outwardly projecting from the outer circumferential wall. The adjacent tubular members are interconnected to the interconnecting member via the attaching means with mutually facing edges of the adjacent tubular members abutting each other. The annular inclined surfaces of the adjacent tubular members together form a positioning groove continuously extending along The abutting edges of the adjacent tubular members, and the flange-like stopper is fitted into the positioning groove with the flange-like stopper resting on the inclined surfaces of the positioning groove.

摘要: Paying attention to the mechanical play between the first and second support members for supporting opposite end portions of a knee axis and a brake block located between the support members, the present invention chiefly aims at removing the play in the direction of an axis of the knee axis in an effective and a reliable manner. In order to achieve this object, according to the present invention, a plurality of spacer members are inserted between each support member and the brake block such that the spacer members may slide on the mutual abutment surface. Each spacer member is of a ring type. The spacer members are fitted to and supported by the knee axis in a state that the spacer members are overlaid one upon another in the axial direction of the knee axis. In order to enhance the smooth sliding on the abutment surface, the spacer members are preferably made of resin material. In order to enhance the smoother sliding, at least one spacer member having the abutment surface is more preferably made of resin of low friction, such as oil-contained resin or phenol resin. The remaining spacer member contacting the resin of low friction may be made of such resin as polyacetal, polyamide and tetraethylene fluoride. Most preferably, one spacer member is made of oil-contained polyacetal resin which is especially excellent in low friction, and the remaining spacer contacting the first-mentioned spacer member is made of non-oil contained polyacetal resin.

摘要: An air conditioning equipment is provided with an oil level equalizing system, which includes a plurality of low-pressure shell-type compressors communicating with a suction line through a plurality of branch portions, a plurality of connecting lines each communicating with a corresponding compressor shell at a location adjacent to a normal oil level in the shell, and an oil level equalizing line communicating with the plurality of connecting lines. The oil level equalizing system also includes a communication line, through which the suction line communicates with the oil level equalizing line at a location upstream of the plurality of branch portions with respect to a direction of flow of a refrigerant. This arrangement functions to increase the pressure within the oil level equalizing line to a value higher than that within the shell of each compressor. A gas/liquid separator for separating a gas refrigerant and a liquid refrigerant or an oil/gas separator for separating oil from the gas refrigerant may be provided in the suction line upstream of the plurality of branch portions. Alternatively, an accumulator may be provided.

摘要: An artificial limb provides for positional relation between a first pin for rotatably connecting one end of an air cylinder device to a lower member and a second pin for rotatably connecting the other end of the air cylinder device to an upper member. The attaching position of the second pin is set to satisfy certain predetermined conditions when an artificial limb is in a completely extended state. The position of an air cylinder device (particularly, the attaching position of the second pin) is changed in conformity with a walking speed which is variable in phase such as normal walking, quick walking, and running with small steps. The artificial limb further comprises a pin position change capable of changing the position of a second pin rotatably connected to an upper member in conformity with variation of walking speed. A first example of the pin position change includes a plurality of attachment holes formed on the knee plate of the upper member and the position of the second pin is changed by attaching the second pin selectively to one of the attachment holes. If it is designed such that an elongate hole is formed along a circular arc so that the attaching position to the elongate hole can be changed, the position of the second pin can be changed steplessly or successively.

摘要: It is an object of the invention to provide an inexpensive double-pipe heat exchanger having high performance and comprising an inner pipe and an outer pipe which constitute a double pipe without adding a heat-transfer facilitating material such as an inner fin. In the double-pipe heat exchanger having the inner pipe and the outer pipe, the outer pipe is dented from its outside toward its inside, thereby forming a plurality of projections which are dented toward the inner pipe. Examples of shapes of the projection are substantially conical shape, substantially truncated shape, substantially spherical surface shape, substantially cylindrical shape, substantially elliptic cylindrical shape and the like. The projections are disposed helically or in a staggered configuration such as to surround the inner pipe. With this structure, only by subjecting the outer pipe to simple working such as press working, it is possible to increase the turbulent flow of fluid flowing between the inner pipe and the outer pipe, and to facilitate heat transfer from fluid flowing in the inner pipe to fluid flowing between the inner pipe and the outer pipe.
