摘要: A device for driving a movable member in vehicle comprises a driving motor provided to be rotated in s predetermined direction, a reduction gear train for decelerating the rotating motion of the driving motor, and crank mechanism for transmitting the rotation of the motor to an output shaft to be coupled with a driven member and a casing for enclosing the motor, reduction gear train and the crank mechanism.Adjacent two gears in the reduction gear train are rotatably supported coaxially to the casing, and both gears are disposed relatively movably in the axial direction. The two gears are coupled through a clutch mechanism to integrally rotates, disengaged by a manual operating member as required, and only the gear near the output shaft can be rotated.

摘要: A drive mechanism for an automatic rear-view mirror assembly of a motor-driven folding type. The driving mechanism includes an electric motor fixed on a mirror housing. The mirror housing is supported rotatably on a shaft fixed to a mirror base which is secured to a vehicle body in such a manner that it can be turned between a normal and retracted position by the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a motor and a gear reducer composed of a plurality of planetary gear units. The planetary gear units include a sun gear connected to an output of the motor, and a group of transmission gears including a first spur gear mounted fixedly on the shaft and a second spur gear connected to an output shaft and meshed with the first spur gear. The reduction gear includes a first casing which houses the planetary gear units on the same shaft and has a ring gear common to these planetary gear units, provided on its inner circumferential surface. The reduction gear also includes a second casing which houses the remaining planetary gear units on the same shaft as the planetary gear units of the first unit, so that the planetary gear units of both casings are meshed with each other. The second casing also has a ring gear on its inner circumferential surface and a bolt by which the first and second casings are combined unitarily with each other. The ring gears of the first and second casings are formed with different gear modules, with the ring gear of the first casing being formed with a smaller gear module than that of the ring gear in the second casing.

摘要: A laser beam irradiation unit irradiates a laser beam on a top surface pattern portion of a wiring to be inspected among plural wirings formed on a substrate, with an intensity high enough to cause laser abrasion or two-photon absorption at the irradiated portion. A D.C. power supply applies, via an ammeter, a predetermined voltage between an electrode portion that traps electrons released from the top surface portion and a contact prove pressed against a bottom surface pattern of the wiring. An open circuit state and a short-circuit state of the wiring are judged using a current value measured in the ammeter. It is thus possible to inspect a wiring for an open circuit and a short-circuit easily without bringing a probe into contact with the lands of wirings on a top surface of the substrate to be inspected.

摘要: A cast aluminum alloy vehicle wheel has a central disk, a rim, and a rim carrying portion located between the rim and the central disk. The rim has an end or tip portion that is the farthest portion of the rim from the disk, and a barrel portion is located between the rim carrying portion and the rim end. The microstructure of the metal provides a dendritic arm spacing (DAS) that is smaller at the rim end than at the rim barrel. Additionally, the DAS of the barrel portion is less then at the central disk. The DAS of the rim carrying portion is equal or less then the DAS of the barrel portion on the rim. A high strength wheel is provided, especially at the rim.

摘要: An apparatus for measuring a carburized portion occurring in inside of a tubular article, the apparatus comprising a first detecting unit having opposite magnetic poles of a first magnet arranged in parallel to an inspecting face of a case made of nonmagnetic material and a magnetism detector disposed at an intermediate portion between the poles, a second detecting unit having opposite magnetic poles of a second magnet arranged perpendicular to the inspecting face of the case and a magnetism detector provided for one of the poles of the second unit, and a data processing circuit for processing the output signals from the first and second detecting units to produce a difference signal. An influence on the magnetic flux density due to the presence of the carburized portion occurring in inside of the tubular article can be determined by a method comprising the steps of measuring a variation in the magnetic flux density effected from both a deteriorated portion and a carburized portion, each of the portions having high permeability of magnetism, with use of the first detecting unit, measuring a variation in the density of magnetic flux due to the presence of the deteriorated layer by using the second detecting unit, and producing a signal representing the difference between the outputs of the first and second detecting units.
