    摘要: A speed change gear shaft for a bicycle having an internal speed change gear. The speed change gear is of the internal multistage type, and a speed change gear shaft is provided separately from a crankshaft of the bicycle. A swing arm on which a rear wheel is supported is supported for rocking motion on a main frame a rocking shaft. Since the speed change gear is disposed in the proximity of the rocking shaft, the fluttering of a chain can be suppressed small. Moreover, since the rocking shaft need not necessarily be disposed in the proximity of the crankshaft, the degree of freedom in design increases. Also, because the speed change gear shaft is disposed forward of the rocking shaft, the fluttering of the chain can be minimizer.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission for bicycles having a transmission mechanism including a plurality of link units for converting rotary motion of an input shaft rotated by a pedal-operated crankshaft into swinging motion, and a one-way clutch for converting the swinging motion into rotary motion of an output shaft. The link units have drive links pivotally mounted on an eccentric ring which rotates in unison with the input shaft. The continuously variable transmission is disposed between a front wheel and a rear wheel of a bicycle in the longitudinal direction thereof and disposed either upwardly of a hypothetical plane which contains the axes of rotation of the front wheel and the rear wheel or upwardly of a position below and near the hypothetical plane. The transmission so configured provides better bicycle maneuverability, lower cost, while suffering almost no danger of contacting the ground.

    摘要: A transmission apparatus is capable of retaining an endless transmission chain on a rotatable member, even where a small inter-axis distance remains between two rotatable shafts to which each of two rotatable members is drivingly connected. The transmission includes a drive sprocket member for connecting to a main drive shaft. The transmission also includes a driven sprocket member, connected to the output shaft in parallel with the main drive shaft and including a plurality of transmission sprockets. The transmission further includes a chain interconnecting both sprocket members, and a transmission shift mechanism for positioning the chain among the transmission sprockets. The drive sprocket member is supported at the main drive shaft in the rotary center line direction, in such a way that the chain is applied to both sprocket members in parallel with a plane crossing at a right angle with the rotary center line of the main drive shaft.

The transmission apparatus T for a bicycle includes a driving sprocket member rotationally driven by a crankshaft; a multi-stage driven sprocket member drivingly connected to the output shaft cooperatively engaged and rotated with the rear wheel; a chain applied over the driving sprocket member and the driven sprocket member; and a transmission changing-over mechanism M2 for positioning the chain among a plurality of transmission sprockets. The driven sprocket member is integrally arranged to always be rotated, and the one-way clutch for transmitting a rotation of the crankshaft to the driving sprocket member while in its normal rotating direction is arranged in the power transmitting path extending from the crankshaft to the driving sprocket member.

    摘要: A constant-mesh transmission having a synchronizing mechanism, the synchronizing mechanism including a fifth gear which acts as a shifter so as to rotate integrally with a counter shift and movably in the axial direction, a recess formed in a first gear, and a synchronizer ring. A first connection spline formed in the outer circumferential wall face of the recess and a first synchronization spline formed in the outer circumferential face of the synchronizer ring have a predetermined overlap portion, whereby they overlap partly in the axial direction. In the fifth gear, a second connection spline meshes with the first connection spline and a second synchronization spline presses the first synchronization spline in the axial direction to make the synchronizer ring and the first gear come into frictional engagement with each other.

    摘要: In a clutch control system for a vehicle having a hydraulic type clutch in the course of power transmission between an engine and a drive wheel the operational response of the clutch is enhanced and the influence of a hysteresis present in oil pressure-stroke characteristic is suppressed. When the clutch is disconnected, a control oil pressure thereof is maintained at a predetermined stand-by oil pressure (allowance compensating oil pressure) P1. At the time of connecting the clutch, the control oil pressure is increased to a predetermined connection oil pressure P2. In bringing the clutch from the connected state into the disconnected state, the control oil pressure is lowered to an oil pressure P3 being below the stand-by oil pressure P1 and being near 0, and is thereafter increased again to the stand-by oil pressure P1.
