    摘要: A class of bound catalysts which exhibit superior activity maintenance in dehydrocyclization reactions are defined as a type L zeolite having exchangeable cations of which at least 75% are selected from Group IA and calcium and barium cations and containing well dispersed particles of at least one Group VIII noble metal where at least 90% of the noble metal thereof is dispersed in the form of particles having a diameter less than 7 .ANG.. The catalysts may also be identified as type L zeolites loaded with at least one Group VIII noble metal which have a terminal cracking index (as a measure of production of pentanes versus butanes from hexane) of at least 1.5.

    摘要: A process is provided for loading and uniformly distributing platinum onto a Zeolite-L. The Zeolite-L is contacted with an aqueous solution containing a platinum salt and a non-platinum metal salt, wherein the non-platinum metal salt is present in solution in an amount which is critical to preventing the formation of acid sites as well as avoiding an excess of metal ions in the form of a salt which could block the pores of the Zeolite-L. The Zeolite-L is then aged to allow the platinum to migrate and uniformly distribute throughout the Zeolite.

    摘要: A high temperature superconducting material with the general formula GaSr.sub.2 Ln.sub.1-x MxCu.sub.2 O.sub.7.+-.w wherein Ln is selected from the group consisting of La, Ce, Pt, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Y and M is selected from the group consisting of Ca and Sr, 0.2.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.4 and w is a small fraction of one. A method of preparing this high temperature superconducting material is provided which includes heating and cooling a mixture to produce a crystalline material which is subsequently fired, ground and annealed at high pressure and temperature in oxygen to establish superconductivity.

    摘要: A class of oxygen-deficient, barium-containing compounds having a perovskite-type structure may be prepared which are of the formula:Ba.sub.2 M.sub.a M'.sub.2-a O.sub.5+yif M is a trivalent cation, orBa.sub.3 M.sub.a M'.sub.3-a O[7.5-(a/2)+y]if M is a divalent cation, wherein M is Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Sc, Y, La, the lanthanides of atomic number 58 or greater, Ni, Fe, Cu,Al, Ga, In, Zn, Cd, Hg, Bi, Tl or a mixture thereof, M' is Sb or Bi, a is equal to or greater than O but less than or equal to 1, and if M is trivalent, y is equal to or greater than 0 but less than 1, and if M is divalent, y is equal to or greater than O but less than (3+a)/2.Preferably, the compounds herein are of the formula:Ba.sub.2 M.sub.a M'.sub.2-a O.sub.5+ywhere M is La or Sc, a is equal to or greater than O but less than or equal to 1 and y is equal to or greater than O but less than 1.This class of compounds are readily reoxidized and therefore are useful in oxidative dehydrogenation reactions.
