    摘要: When a hybrid compressor starts being driven by an electric motor, the electric current of a capacity control valve is applied at an initial control electric current SS that is greater than a control electric current S, which is from the state of a refrigerating circuit. This triggers a swash plate of the hybrid compressor to be rapidly inclined. Thereafter, the electric current of the displacement control valve is applied at the control electric current S. This structure enables the displacement of the hybrid compressor to rapidly recover when the hybrid compressor starts being driven by the electric motor.

    摘要: Disclosed is an internal combustion engine having no intake throttle valve and comprising a main chamber and an auxiliary chamber which are interconnected with each other via a connecting passage. An annular raised portion is formed on the inner wall of the auxiliary chamber, and the auxiliary chamber is divided into a first auxiliary chamber and a second auxiliary chamber by the annular raised portion. The connecting passage is tangentially connected to the inner wall of the second auxiliary chamber. The nozzle of a fuel injector is disposed in the auxiliary chamber and is directed to the recess which is formed in the second auxiliary chamber beneath the annular raised portion at a position located opposite to the inner wall to which the connecting passage is tangentially connected with respect to the axis of the auxiliary chamber. The spark gap of a spark plug is located in the recess of the second auxiliary chamber. The sum of the volumes of the auxiliary chamber and the connecting passage is more than 80 percent of the sum of the volumes of the auxiliary chamber, the connecting passage and the main chamber when said piston reaches the top dead center position. The exhaust gas is recirculated into the intake system of the engine so that the exhaust gas recirculating rate becomes 30 through 40 percent. The amount of the fuel injected from the injector is so regulated that the total air-fuel ratio is increased to within 30 through 100:1 in accordance with a decrease in the level of the load of the engine. The ignition timing is advanced to within the range of 15 through 50 degrees before the top dead center position of the compression stroke in accordance with a decrease in the level of the load of the engine.

    摘要: An internal combustion engine having an auxiliary combustion chamber is disclosed. The engine comprises a main combustion chamber defined by a cylinder, a piston reciprocably disposed in the cylinder, and a cylinder head. A main passage intercommunicates the main and auxiliary combustion chambers. The auxiliary combustion chamber is divided into first and second sub-chambers. A fuel injection nozzle is disposed in the second sub-chamber so that the fuel injected therefrom is directed to a recess in the first sub-chamber. The main passage opens into a portion of the first sub-chamber which is substantially symmetrical to the recess. Electrodes of a spark plug are disposed in the recess. Also, a sub-passage, which opens into the recess, may be provided for intercommunicating the main passage and the recess.

    摘要: A light metal composite material reinforced by alumina-silica fibers and a method for producing same. The composite material can have high mechanical qualities such as high workability and high wear resistance as well as high thermal qualities such as high fatigue resistance and high thermal conductivity and can also have high mating performance not to cause much wear of the mating member when the assemblage of alumina-silica fibers incorporated in the composite material as reinforcing members includes not more than 17 wt. % non-fibered particles, particularly not more than 7 wt. % of non-fibered particles of not smaller than 150 microns diameter, and has a virtual density of 0.08-0.3 g/cm.sup.3. The efficiency of production of the composite material is improved by binding the alumina-silica fibers provisionally with one another by an inorganic binder to have a compression strength no lower than 0.2 kg/cm.sup.2.

    摘要: A swash plate type compressor has a rotary shaft, an inclined swash plate for rotation with the shaft, and a plurality of pistons connected to the swash plate. Each piston defines at both ends thereof a pair of working chambers. The piston reciprocates while being subjected to a swing motion concomitant with the rotation of the swash plate, to suck a fluid into the working chambers for compression. The swash plate is mounted on the shaft through a support unit which serves to selectively vary the inclination of the swash plate and shift the center of rotation of the swash plate along the shaft. The fluid is introduced from a suction passage through and around the swash plate to suction chambers formed adjacent the working chambers. A bypass passage is formed to directly communicate the suction passage with the suction chamber on one side of the shaft while bypassing the swash plate. When the inclination of the swash plate is decreased and the rotational center position thereof is shifted so that substantially no compression of fluid is completed in the working chambers on the one side of the shaft to decrease the displacement of the compressor, the fluid flows in the one side suction chamber through the bypass passage responsively to the flow of fluid toward another side working chambers to lubricate and cool sliding parts for the shaft.
