摘要: Red, green and blue densities of a number of points on a color negative or original are measured and the measured values are plotted in a coordinate system. When the measured values of the densities are contained in a predetermined region of the coordinate system defined as the flesh color region, the measured point is determined to be of flesh color. When the number of points determined to be of flesh color is not less than 13 among 748 points sampled, for instance, the color original is determined to have a subject matter of a human figure. Then, in printing the color negative the exposure is controlled to reproduce a flesh color of desired color balance and density.

摘要: A method is disclosed for controlling the exposure during photographic printing. The transmission density of a negative or original is measured to provide an exposure control signal. In an illustrative embodiment of this invention, the original is divided into a central portion, a peripheral portion, an upper portion, a lower portion, a right-hand portion and a left-hand portion. Means are provided for quantizing a difference in average density between the portions in the negative, which is classified into a plurality of categories in accordance with a logic of combining characteristic values of the negative. The method affords an enhancement of accuracy in exposure control and an enhancement of probability of obtaining prints of good quality.

摘要: Red, green and blue densities of a number of points of a color negative or original are measured. If the measured values of the densities fall within an ellipsoid when plotted in a three dimensional coordinate system or within an ellipse when plotted in two-dimensional coordinate system the axes of which represent the red, green and blue densities or combinations of the three color densities, the measured point is determined to have flesh color. When the negative or original has more than a certain number of points of flesh color, it is determined that the principal subject matter of the negative or original is a human figure and the exposure in a printer is controlled to give a print having a desirable flesh color.

摘要: A particular color is defined in terms of red, green and blue densities thereof. When the densities fall within a predetermined ellipsoid in a three-dimensional chromaticity coordinate system the axes of which respectively represent the red, green and blue densities, the color is defined to be of the particular color. The ellipsoid is represented by the following formula.dS.sup.2 =C.sub.11 dB.sup.2 +2C.sub.12 dB.multidot.dG+C.sub.22 dG.sup.2 +2C.sub.23 dG.multidot.dR+C.sub.33 dR.sup.2 +2C.sub.31 dR.multidot.dBwhereindB=B-BdG=G-GdR=R-RB: blue density of measured pointG: green density of measured pointR: red density of measured pointB: average blue densityG: average green densityR: average red densityRed, green and blue densities of a number of points on a color negative to be printed are measured by a measuring means. The outputs of the measuring means are normalized by a normalizing circuit so that equal level of density signals can be obtained regardless of the gamma value and the sensitivity of the negatives when the same subject matter is photographed under the same conditions. The normalized densities are put into said formula and dS.sup.2 for each of the measured points is calculated by a computing circuit. The calculated dS.sup.2 is compared with a predetermined constant K by a comparator. When the calculated dS.sup.2 is not larger than the constant K, the measured point is determined to be of the particular color.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a subscriber-side device, which can generate accurate time information and can synchronize a time with other device even if a power supply of a portion that receives a downlink signal is in an OFF state, and to provide an optical transmission system including the same. The subscriber-side device of the present invention corrects and outputs free-running time information, which is generated based on a free-running clock signal, by a time correction value generated based on a frequency deviation between a synchronization clock signal and the free-running clock signal. When the downlink signal sent from the station-side device is in a signal interruption state of being incapable of recognizing or receiving the downlink signal, the subscriber-side device corrects and outputs the free-running time information by a time correction value generated before the downlink signal turns to the signal interruption state.
