    摘要: A thin film of an amorphous alloy comprising (i) at least one element selected from Fe and Co, (ii) at least one element selected from Pt and Pd and (iii) at least one element selected from (a) 3d transition elements other than Fe and Co, (b) 4d transition elements other than Pd, (c) 5d transition elements other than Pt, (d) light rare earth elements, (e) Group III B elements, (f) Group IV B elements, (g) Group V B elements, and (h) Group VI B elements, and the film having an easy axis of magnetization perpendicular to the film face. The thin film has excellent magnetooptical characteristics including increased coercive force and large Kerr-rotation angle and Faraday-rotation angle, and is excellent in resistance to oxidation and in consequence the coercive force and Kerr-angle of the film do not substantially change with time. The film has a high reflectance as well.

    摘要: The device is constructed by an optical waveguide having an incident port for receiving incidence of energy lights from plural systems, an inner reflection surface which is a closed surface provided from the incident port to the rear thereof and an irradiation port formed on the rear end part of the inner reflection surface for irradiating the energy lights and an optical fiber disposed on the rear side of this optical waveguide for receiving incidence of the energy lights irradiated from this irradiation port. Thus, it is possible to couple energy lights from plural systems in single focus without needing any precise arrangement of optical elements.

    摘要: In order to obtain a weld bead having a good outer appearance with little splash of sputters or the like and a sufficient shearing force, there is provided a flash lamp control section for controlling flash lamps so as to generate two rectangular waves in a pulse wave form at every cycle of a pulse laser beam generated by a pulse YAG laser during the irradiation of the pulse laser beam on coated metal materials. The flash lamp control section is adapted to control a relationship between a peak power and a pulse width of a first rectangular wave and a peak power and a pulse width of a second rectangular wave in predetermined ranges. Under the control of the flash lamp control section, the pulse laser beam generated by the pulse YAG laser is irradiated to the coated metal materials thereby carry out the irradiating operation.

    摘要: An optical output controlling method according to the present invention is employed in an optical system in which a polarized light is illuminated on a magneto-optical material, and in which the light reflected by the magneto-optical material is passed through a polarization beam splitter and then detected through an analyzer. An optical output can be adjusted by rotating the polarization beam splitter. In consequence, the Kerr rotation angle caused by the magneto-optical material can be increased, and the carrier to noise ratio can be thereby improved.
