摘要: The invention provides a novel elastomer composition capable of giving vulcanized rubber products with superior solvent resistance, oil resistance, heat resistance and other properties. The composition is formulated with a polymer blend of an ethylene-propylene copolymeric elastomer and a specific organopolysiloxane having certain amount of mercapto-substituted organic groups bonded to the silicon atoms as the base component admixed with a filler and a crosslinking agent or a vulcanizing agent.

摘要: The fluorine-substituted organopolysiloxane as the principal ingredient of the inventive silicone rubber composition has vinyl groups to serve as the cross-linking points at the molecular chain terminals while at least the penultimate siloxane unit or the silicon atom adjacent to the terminal silicon atom has no fluorine-substituted hydrocarbon group bonded to the silicon atom. Being freed from the steric hindrance due to the bulky fluorine-substituted hydrocarbon group bonded to the adjacent silicon atom, the vinyl group bonded to the terminal silicon atom can pertain to the cross-linking reaction much easier than otherwise so that the silicone rubber composition of the invention containing an organic peroxide or a combination of an organohydrogenpolysiloxane and a platinum catalyst as a curing agent can be rapidly cured to give a cured silicone rubber article having excellent resistance against oils and organic solvents as well as mechanical properties.

摘要: The silicone rubber composition comprises, in addition to the conventional ingredients of a high-polymeric diorganopolysiloxane and a reinforcing silica filler, a specific phosphorus-containing organic compound, such as phosphinates, phosphonates and phosphates, in a limited amount. By virtue of this unique ingredient, the composition can give a cured silicone rubber product having greatly improved resistance against dynamic fatigue.

摘要: A silicone rubber composition composed of a high-molecular diorganopolysiloxane, a reinforcing silica filler and an organic peroxide as a curing agent is further compounded with a fluorine-containing low-polymeric compound such as poly(chlorotrifluoroethylene) and perfluorinated polyether compound of the formula F--[--CF(CF.sub.3)--CF.sub.2 --O--].sub.v --O--CF.sub.2 --CF.sub.3, in which v is 2 to 100, as well as fluoroalkyl-substituted organopolysiloxanes. The silicone rubber composition can give a cured silicone rubber product having greatly improved resistance against dynamic fatigue as in repeated cycles of stretching and relaxation.

摘要: The rubber composition is formulated with (A) a combination of an ethylene-propylene copolymeric rubber and an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups per molecule as the polymeric base, (B) a reinforcing silica filler, (C) an alkoxysilane compound and (D) a thiocarbamyl-containing organosilane compound. The rubber composition can be vulcanized with an organic sulfur compound or organic peroxide as the vulcanizing agent to give a vulcanizate having quite satisfactory mechanical properties including, in particular, greatly improved heat resistance and greatly decreased permanent compression set even without using carbon black as the reinforcing filler. The omission of carbon black in the formulation gives an advantage that the rubber may be colored in any light color.

摘要: The adhesive bonding of a silicone rubber to a metal surface can be very much improved by the use of the inventive primer composition, in particular, with respect to the heat resistance and anti-oil resistance of the adhesion. The inventive primer composition comprises (a) a substantially linear diorganopolysiloxane of gum-like consistency free from aliphatic unsaturation, (b) an organopolysiloxane with the organic group/silicon atom molar ratio of 1.9 to 2.3 and having a limited amount of vinyl groups directly bonded to the silicon atoms and a viscosity of 5 to 10,000 centistokes at 25.degree. C., (c) an organopolysiloxane resin with the molar ratio of organic groups/silicon atoms of 0.5 to 1.7, (d) an organosilane compound such as vinyl trimethoxysilane or vinyl tris(2-methoxyethoxy) silane, (e) a finely divided silica filler, (f) an organic peroxide and (g) a curing agent for silicone resins, all in limited weight proportions.

摘要: The organopolysiloxane compositions comprising (a) a linear diorganopolysiloxane having a block structure composed of alternately linked two kinds of blocks of dimethylsiloxane units on one hand and of dimethylsiloxane units and methylvinylsiloxane units on the other hand, (b) a silica filler, (c) a methylhydrogenpolysiloxane as a crosslinking agent, and (d) a platinum catalyst for accelerating crosslinking by addition reaction. Cured silicone rubber elastomers obtained from the composition have very excellent mechanical properties, especially tear strength.

摘要: A novel thermally curable silicone rubber composition which is useful for the preparation of silicone rubber elastomers comprises diorganopoly-siloxane gum, a polyurethane elastomer having a softening point of not lower than 100.degree. C., a reinforcing filler, and an organic peroxide. The silicone rubber elastomers cured have an excellent resistance to mineral oils and organic solvents as well as other properties that are inherent in conventional silicone rubbers.

摘要: Mercapto group-containing silicone rubber compositions essentially consisting of a mercapto group-containing organopolysiloxane having a viscosity exceeding 100,000 cSt and represented by the average unit formulaR.sub.a SiO.sub.(4-a/2)in which R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group substantially free from aliphatic unsaturation, at least two of the R groups in a molecule being mercaptoalkyl groups and a is between 1.98 and 2.05, a certain filler and sulfur, a metal oxide or a metal peroxide as a curing agent. Products from the composition have excellent chemical and mechanical properties and can be bonded to an organic synthetic rubber or natural rubber as well as metals in completely cured state.

摘要: Silicone rubber compositions comprising a diorganopolysiloxane having localized vinyl group distribution, a silica filler with large specific surface area and a curing agent, e.g., an organic peroxide, the diorganopolysiloxane being prepared by the block-copolymerization of a hydroxy-endblocked diorganopolysiloxane without unsaturation and a chlorine-endblocked vinyl-containing diorganopolysiloxane by the dehydrochlorination-condensation. Cured elastomers from silicone rubber compositions have very much improved tear strength with the other properties being as good as those of the conventional silicone rubber elastomers.
