The lamp includes an envelope provided with a pinch-sealed portion; a light emitting component accommodated in the envelope; and current feedthroughs electrically connected to the light emitting components and passing through the pinch-sealed portion to project outwardly from the envelope. The securing mechanism includes a first metal sleeve tightly surrounding the pinch-sealed portion of the envelope; a second metal sleeve lining the inner surface of the neck portion of the reflector and surrounding the first metal sleeve; and clamping components affixed to the second sleeve. The clamping components fit into the hollow neck portion and encase the inner surface thereof from two opposite sides. The first and second metal sleeves are fixedly secured to one another.

The invention relates to a new process for obtaining tissue-protective devices of bone surgery implants prepared from a medical-purity metal, titanium and/or a titanium-base microalloy containing at least 98% by weight of titanium, by establishing a biocompatible (tissue-protective) coating on the metal surface by anodic oxidation after degreasing and chemical or electrochemical etching, which comprises carrying out the anodic oxidation of the etched implant surfaces in an aqueous solution of a phosphate concentration lower than 20% by weight with a current density of 2 to 50 mA/cm.sup.2 until reaching a voltage of at least 105 V, then, after washing to ion-free, heat-treating the thus-oxidized implants at a temperature between 120.degree. C. and 750.degree. C. for 5 to 120 minutes, and repeating once or twice the anodic oxidation and heat-treatment with the phosphate concentration, current density and temperature values as given above for the first step.

The improvement lies in applying layer system including at least four layers (4, 5, 6, 7) prepared for reflecting respective color components of the light emitted by the light source (3). The proposed projector lamp is capable of emitting color light without applying filters.

An improved construction for a lamp cap suitable for interconnecting the elongated constricted neck of a halogen lamp to an electrode-bearing lamp holder is described. A hollow elongated deformable insert is coaxially positioned within a conventional cover disc of the lamp cap. The interior dimension of the insert is chosen to effect a secure frictional engagement with at least 30% of the length of the constricted lamp neck, and is permanently or removably affixed to the surrounding cover disc. The lamp holder may then be affixed to the composite lamp cap to complete the assembly.
