    摘要: A user terminal (UT) to transmit small amounts of data, the UT including: a packet including the data, where the packet is less than 128 bytes; a frequency synchronizer to synchronize a transmission frequency of an ASCMA return link connecting the UT with a satellite gateway; and an ASCMA transmitter to transmit, without acquiring timing synchronization with the satellite gateway from the UT, the packet modulated over the synchronized transmission frequency as an ASCMA waveform including a preamble to indicate a start of a transmission. Other embodiments of this aspect include corresponding computer systems, apparatus, and computer programs recorded on one or more computer storage devices, each configured to perform the actions of the methods.

    摘要: A geolocation is estimated by tessellating a coverage area into a camping cell and adjacent cells; subdividing the camping cell into grid points where each grid point of the grid points has an associated relative offset from a camping beam center; illuminating, with a platform, the camping cell with a camping beam and each of the adjacent cells with adjacent beams; receiving a camping beam signal strength and adjacent beams signal strengths for each grid point of the grid points; profiling, at each grid point, ratios of the camping beam signal strength to each one of the adjacent beams signal strengths; mapping the ratios and the associated relative offset of each grid point; and estimating a relative geolocation of a User Terminal (UT) from the camping beam center based on a UT camping beam signal strength and UT adjacent beams signal strengths.

    摘要: A system and method for data transmissions in a wireless communications system, which accommodates for a periodic blockage of the transmission signal, is provided. A data stream is segmented into packets of a predetermined fixed-size for a burst-mode transmission over a channel of the communications system, wherein the transmission is subject to a periodic blockage. A forward error correction outer code is then applied to the packets of the data stream for recovery of packets subjected to the periodic blockage, and a unique word is added to each packet for acquisition of frequency, carrier phase and symbol timing of the respective packet. The packets of the data stream are interleaved based on an interleaver of a depth based at least in part on a ratio of a blockage free duration between two consecutive blockages of the periodic blockage to a duration of each blockage of the periodic blockage.

By using this method, a problem of a decreased cell efficiency due to a short circuit caused by the deposition of metal on the anode will be solved, meanwhile, a possibility of damaging the solar cell and depositing metal unevenly as a result of using any kind of plating fixtures is avoided, the electrochemical reaction rate is effectively controlled, an evenness of the deposition of metal is guaranteed, and the manufacture of a solar cell having a selective diffusion structure is promoted.

    摘要: A baud rate acquisition circuit (10) for synchronizing a sampling signal with an input signal operates in broad rate sweeping and a rate fine tuning phases. In the rate sweeping phase, a timing error detector (24) examines the sampling signal generated by a decimator (16). If the sampling signal is outside a rate acquisition range from the target rate, a rate sweeping algorithm selects a new sampling rate. In response to the sampling rate within the rate acquisition range, the timing error detector (24) examines the asymmetry thereof to generate a rate correction signal to synchronize the sampling signal with the input signal. Next in the rate fine tuning phase, a multiplexer (22) routes the sampling signal through a square root filter (18). By examining the waveform shaped signal, the time error detector (24) synchronizes the sampling signal with the input signal with high accuracy.
