The UE includes a processor and memory that is in electronic communication with the processor. Executable instructions are stored in the memory. The UE obtains a power headroom. The UE also obtains a threshold. Also, the UE reduces power consumption if the power headroom is less than the threshold. The power headroom is based on the difference between a maximum uplink transmit power and an estimated uplink transmit power.

The method accepts an electronically formatted original image (I), and also accepts an electronically formatted brightened image (B), obtained by modifying the original image. A dynamic reference AI=Iλ is generated, and the brightened image (B) is compared to the dynamic reference (AI).

    摘要: A display device includes power management by including a first input suitable to receive electrical power from an outlet for providing power for the operation of the display device. The display device includes a second input, separate from the first input, suitable to receive electrical power from an external battery source for providing power for the operation of the display device. The display device includes an internal battery source enclosed within the display device suitable for providing power for the operation of the display device. A source select is enclosed within the display device that selects power from at least one of the first input, the second input, and the internal battery for providing power for the operation of the display device. A processor receives video content from a video source and selectively modifies a backlight of the display device based upon the power source selected by the source select in such a manner as to reduce the power consumption of the display device. The processor may additionally change the media playback behavior to decode and playback only some of the video frames to reduce the power consumption of decoder and display device.
