Abstract: A computer-implemented geometric processing method generates the design for a model of a dental prosthesis beginning with obtaining a blended prosthesis dataset for dental prostheses including natural tooth data and prosthesis tooth data designed by a technician. This dataset is preprocessed by generating a depth map with preprocessing so that the data is more suitable for deep learning (DL) so as to ensure generation of a smooth surface. An artificial intelligence neural network generation model with tooth feature loss is trained on the preprocessed dataset and is used to form a model of the prosthesis. Then the dental information associated with the dental model of dentition is used to generate a 3D dental prosthesis surface with a post-processing method to meet the requirement of the dental prosthesis. Finally, the rest of the dental prosthesis is completed to meet full function.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a three-dimensional depth map, are provided. The method comprising the steps of: (i) illuminating a target by a pattern projector having background intensity or by a combination of a pattern projector which does not have a background intensity operative together with a flood projector; (ii) capturing at least one image that comprises one or more objects present at the illuminated target; (iii) converting the at least one captured image into data; (iv) processing the data received from the conversion of the at least one captured image while filtering out the projected pattern from the processed data; (v) detecting edges of at least one of the one or more objects present at the illuminated target; and (vi) generating a three-dimensional depth map that comprises the at least one of the one or more objects whose edges have been determined.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein include aspects related to previewing and capturing stroke outlines from a real-world image or a video feed. In one embodiment, a stroke outline preview image is generated by performing an edge detection process on an input image. The stroke outline preview image provides a preview indicating an example of a stroke outline image to be provided for the input image if the input image is selected. A detailed stroke outline image for the input image is generated using a detailed stroke outline process, and an alternative stroke outline image is obtained for the input image using an alternative outline process. Thereafter, the alternative stroke outline image is modified by including in the alternative stroke outline image a portion of stroke outlines from the detailed stroke outline image.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to an image processing circuit comprising a noise reduction circuit configurable to perform bilateral filtering on demosaiced and resampled image data, or on raw image data, based on the operating mode of the image processing circuit. The noise reduction circuit filters received image data based upon directional taps, by selecting, for each pixel, a set of neighbor pixels, and comparing values of the set of neighbor pixels to determine whether the pixel lies on a directional edge. For raw images, the noise reduction circuit selects the set of neighbor pixels to include a plurality of pixels of the same color channel as the pixel, and one or more additional pixels of a different color channel, where color values for the one or more additional pixels are determined by interpolating color values of two or more adjacent pixels of the same color channel as the pixel.

Abstract: A method of filtering a target pixel in an image forms, for a kernel of pixels comprising the target pixel and its neighbouring pixels, a data model to model pixel values within the kernel; calculates a weight for each pixel of the kernel comprising: (i) a geometric term dependent on a difference in position between that pixel and the target pixel; and (ii) a data term dependent on a difference between a pixel value of that pixel and its predicted pixel value according to the data model; and uses the calculated weights to form a filtered pixel value for the target pixel, e.g. by updating the data model with a weighted regression analysis technique using the calculated weights for the pixels of the kernel; and evaluating the updated data model at the target pixel position so as to form the filtered pixel value for the target pixel.

Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to classification of process cycle images to predict success or failure of process cycles. The technology disclosed includes capturing and processing images of sections arranged on an image generating chip in genotyping process. Image description features of production cycle images are created and given as input to classifiers. A trained classifier separates successful production images from unsuccessful or failed production images. The failed production images are further classified by a trained root cause classifier into various categories of failure.

Abstract: A method and system for generating an output image from a plurality, N, of corresponding input image channels is described. A Jacobian matrix of the plurality of corresponding input image channels is determined. The principal characteristic vector of the outer product of the Jacobian matrix is calculated. The sign associated with the principal characteristic vector is set whereby an input image channel pixel projected by the principal characteristic vector results in a positive scalar value. The output image as a per-pixel projection of the input channels in the direction of the principal characteristic vector is generated.
